Re: Nightmare time with Bavarian Retro

I think I did. I phoned the Scottish courts first to see what I would need to do. They were very helpful and directed me to the correct forms.

Re: Nightmare time with Bavarian Retro

I took him to court, won and got paid out. I'm in England so had to file a claim with the small claims court in Scotland. Once they decided in my favour after he didn't bother showing up to court or replying to any letters from the courts I had to contact a Sherrif in Scotland, who encouraged him to...

Re: Bumper Conversions

Thanks Dean, that was very helpful. I know the UK cars are a little different to the US spec ones so I'm hoping it won't be as difficult. I think I'm going to go for it, and go for the M sport bumpers with the chrome. If anyone has some in the UK with no rust please let me know! Also if what I want ...

Re: Bumper Conversions

Thanks for the replies gents, but it's just the more I look at the plastic bumpers the more I think they look too chunky. I like the earlier chrome ones as they look more elegant in my opinion, but having said that at least polishing my existing ones gives me another option, so thank you JCS. Ron, i...

Bumper Conversions

Hi all,
I have an 89 highline that has the plastic bumpers, my question is can I change both front and rear bumpers for the chrome ones without any cutting/fabricating? Is it just a case of taking off the ones I have on there and bolting the chrome ones straight on?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
yes it only took 5 phone calls for it to be sorted. I wouldn't use them again, they don't have any customer service and talk to you like you're a child.

Hello all,
I know this is a very old thread but I have the same problem and cannot find the part number on real oem.

The attached photo shows the broken aluminum part.
Anyone know the part number I need?

Re: '89 Highline UK.

You may be right but I was under the impression that it's the guides that are made out of plastic that go brittle over time and this is primarily the reason for the change.

Sorry if I've taken this thread off topic. And please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ron I spoke to the seller today not knowing you were interested and......according to him he has all the previous history for it, but according to his car and classic advert he has decent history. Also when I asked if the timing chain had been changed I was told in a 'pleasant' tone "it's a tim...

I didn't really want to go down the route of skimming mine as I have read you have to be sure of where you wants bits taken off from. BTW both types need a spacer ring and the later (...463) one is the sort that works with 80-87 motronic and that is the one that is most sought after It's going on an...

You are 100% correct. I only knew those models had it for definite. Now to find one for sale.

The links you sent have a price on them but no way of purchasing them as far as I can see.
