Re: Euro E12 parts for sale

By any chance is the left, driver side quarter panel molding still on the vehicle? All I am missing is the little plastic end piece toward the driver's door. I don't care what the rest of the molding looks like.
Please let me know.

Re: Side Molding End Piece

Klaus, better mention you have an early car as the width of the moldings are different Yes, mine is an early car. But it looks as if the original molding 51131839133 up to 9/82 was superseded in 5/82 by 51131889487 for use until end of production. Both moldings use the same attachment hardware, whi...

Side Molding End Piece

Got a little, wierd request... Noticed today that I am missing an endpiece on the quarter panel molding on the left, driver's side. 1549258629132330.jpg Looked through all my stock of replacement moldings and of course this is one of the moldings that I am missing. Also not planning on replacing the...

Re: Production Line Picture

Google Image search says "No other sizes of this image found." Do you know of this site? https://rasterbator.net/. You can blow up any image to poster size using that site's rasterizing function. It is a cheap way to print a huge version of an image as it utilizes standard printer paper and s...

Re: My "Solution" for no Bilstein Sports for E12 based Cars

It appears as if Bilstein does not plan on offering any more rear Sports for E12's or E12 based E24's. But they are still offering rear Sports for E3 and E9 chassis, and as far as I am concerned the specs are close enough to be interchangeable. Rear uses 24-008198, about $110 per side. Front is stil...

Production Line Picture

Saw this picture posted on one of the FB groups. Was wondering if anybody knows the source or has an idea if a higher resolution file is somewhere to be found. Would really like to have this poster size for my office or garage!

M Technic Euro Fender Flares

Looking either for a set of 4 or single M Technic flares as available for later Euro models. Would also be interested in damaged pieces if complete enough to reproduce. Picture added shows the style I am interested in. Items need to be able to be shipped to Las Vegas NV USA.

Re: Timing Specs 77/78 M90 635CSi EURO

Brucey, I looked at the FirstFives FAQ and came to the conclusion that I most likely have to play around with the timing on a experimental basis in order to find an acceptable setting. I agree with your statement about current gas quality, it does not even appear to be consistent from station to sta...

Re: Timing Specs 77/78 M90 635CSi EURO

:D ... no pun intended! But on a serious note... can somebody please post a picture of an emission label showing the timing specs of an early M90 L-Jet. I know that the reference mark is at 22 degrees, I really would like to know what the target rpm is. The only reference is found so far shows 1700 ...

Timing Specs 77/78 M90 635CSi EURO

Can anybody please check what the factory timing is supposed to be for an 77 or 78 m90 EURO 635? I currently have it set with the 22 deg mark at 2200 rpm with both vacuum hoses disconnected and plugged. Engine has notable ping under heavy acceleration from about 3-5k rpm.

Thanks in advance,
Klaus

Re: Rear Sunshade manufacturer

"Sonnenschutzrollo" translates to "Retractable Sun Shade" in German, I really don't think you are going to find any manufacturer's information out of the parts sticker. Most likely by the format it's a sticker for a replacement part.

Re: Rear Skirt for World Bumpers?

Thanks for the reply Bob, #2 is what I am currently using. What I was aiming for was more something in the range of the M-Technic rear valance for the Euro bumpers or the Racing Dynamics rear valance for earlier US bumpers.

Rear Skirt for World Bumpers?

I am in the middle of a World Bumper conversion of my '81, with some minor twists. The front spoiler is going to be a modified '85 version and I was able to source some matching side skirts that just require some minor modifications. So here is the question... Is there a rear skirt available that fi...

WTB: Front & Rear World Bumper Parts

I am in the process of converting my '81 to world bumpers. Collected all the parts and intended to reuse my early US aluminum bars. Even with modifications that does not work! So, I needs both front and rear aluminum world bumper bars and the rear valence piece under the bumper. Condition is not tha...

Pacific Sharkfest in Hemmings Sport & Exotic

Imagine my surprise when I opened the February 2017 Edition of Hemmings Sport & Exotic and found a 1/4 page blurb about PSF 2016. Only thing unclear to me is why Paul just welcomes inquiries of 635 owners, I thought we were more open minded then that :D ! Maybe we are going to see a few fresh faces ...

Re: Suggestions for rear end ratio change

I'm actually next year sometime installing the getrag 420g 6spd in the 6 series so I can have the short spaced gearing with some cruising ability. I'll have to make up an adaptor for the bellhousing which will be fun. I thought I read somewhere that the 420g is quiet huge compared to the 260 or 265...
