Re: Rear Brake Rotor source for early E12 based cars
While the non-vented rotos will fit on the rear hub, keep in mind that the thickness of the vented and non-vented rotors differs significantly. Therefore you would have to use the calibers of an early E12 with non-vented rotors to match the thickness. Might be more cost effective to buy OEM BMW rear...

Re: Brake Pad recommendation for early E24
Wow, I completely forgot about this post. Anyway, I ended up with EBC Red Pads, had a problem sourcing the front ones for a couple of weeks as every order went to back order. I have a set of drilled and slotted rotors, still waiting for a set of stainless brake hoses and some time to actually change...

Brake Pad recommendation for early E24
It's time to redo brakes on my 1981 E12 based E24 and I am looking for recommendations for front and rear brake pads. Looks like Juris does not offer a rear one anymore, ATE offers front and rear in semi metallic. I looked at EBC, they offer red and green. Anybody have any experience with these? Or ...

Re: E12 based e24 take same struts as 5er? and Koni help needed
Yes, E12 based 5 and 6 series uses the same red Koni's. Part numbers are as follow: Front E12 based: 86 2017 Rear E12 based: 82 2161 Just a piece of advise, I was not happy with them, even at the hardest setting. They were soft enough to bottom out with stock springs and almost undrivable with lower...

Re: Rear Brake Rotor source for early E12 based cars
So, ultimately none of the sources for aftermarket rotors came through with any remaining stock. It also appears that due to the lack of demand no production runs are planned for the near future. Well, I ended up buying OEM rotors. But what strikes me as odd is that 2 orders were cancelled. Ultimate...

Re: Rear Brake Rotor source for early E12 based cars
That's pretty much what I found out, even the OEM rotors are in short supply. Autohausaz and the usual WorldPac suspects just list the OEM rotors when you search via part#, no aftermarket sources show up. I contacted a few manufacturers including Balo and a few other well known ones and there appear...

Rear Brake Rotor source for early E12 based cars
Looks like my 1981 633CSi (now 635CSi) will be in need of some rear brake rotors shortly, not sure if I changed them in the last 20 years. I looked and they are still available through BMW, but pricing is quiet high. After checking the usual sources, I was unable to find any aftermarket sources, rep...

WTB M30 Oil Pump
Looking to buy a used oil pump, preferably Part# 11411286468, used until about 6/86. Really just looking for a decent, complete, undamaged assembly, planning on rebuilding in order to cure a massive high oil pressure issue during cold start. Please let me know what you have, not willing to spend cra...

Current speakers for factory locations
After doing some searches it turns out that most of the speaker suggestions are NLA, being not current. I am looking to finally upgrade the sound system in my 1981 E12 bases chassis. The parcel shelf has been upgraded to one out of an 1987 L6 with the sunshade and the premium pods. The front locatio...

Re: 12mm fuel line length - 88 635csi
Yes, 1 meter is enough. It helps to loosen up the tank to create a little gap. I also sprayed the outside of the hose with silicone spray and connected the old to the new with a barbed 1/2" hose connector and just simply used the old hose to pull the new one through. Not sure why it would matte...

Re: 12mm fuel line length - 88 635csi
Just did mine, and the section is almost 1 meter long, you have about 5 cm left. I bought hose from WorldPac and they sell the 12 mm hose in 1 meter length, I was pissed because I ordered 2 meters and it came as 2 sections of 1 meter each.

Re: Euro E12 parts for sale
By any chance is the left, driver side quarter panel molding still on the vehicle? All I am missing is the little plastic end piece toward the driver's door. I don't care what the rest of the molding looks like.
Please let me know.

Re: Side Molding End Piece
Klaus, better mention you have an early car as the width of the moldings are different Yes, mine is an early car. But it looks as if the original molding 51131839133 up to 9/82 was superseded in 5/82 by 51131889487 for use until end of production. Both moldings use the same attachment hardware, whi...

Side Molding End Piece
Got a little, wierd request... Noticed today that I am missing an endpiece on the quarter panel molding on the left, driver's side. 1549258629132330.jpg Looked through all my stock of replacement moldings and of course this is one of the moldings that I am missing. Also not planning on replacing the...

Google Image search says "No other sizes of this image found." Do you know of this site? https://rasterbator.net/. You can blow up any image to poster size using that site's rasterizing function. It is a cheap way to print a huge version of an image as it utilizes standard printer p...

Re: My "Solution" for no Bilstein Sports for E12 based Cars
It appears as if Bilstein does not plan on offering any more rear Sports for E12's or E12 based E24's. But they are still offering rear Sports for E3 and E9 chassis, and as far as I am concerned the specs are close enough to be interchangeable. Rear uses 24-008198, about $110 per side. Front is stil...

Saw this picture posted on one of the FB groups. Was wondering if anybody knows the source or has an idea if a higher resolution file is somewhere to be found. Would really like to have this poster size for my office or garage!

Looking either for a set of 4 or single M Technic flares as available for later Euro models. Would also be interested in damaged pieces if complete enough to reproduce. Picture added shows the style I am interested in. Items need to be able to be shipped to Las Vegas NV USA.
