Hi Richard
Check out this ebay post for seats. Joe is in Sydney and might be able to help you out with a dashboard, he wrecks E24s.

Re: Self Levelling Suspension replacement
Hi John I remember seeing an SLS removal kit advertised some time ago, I think it was at Bavauto, but have not been able to find it again for you. The kit included new shocks, springs and spring mounts. It sounds like you have most of these parts now anyway. It should be easy enough to find a pair o...

Re: What do I want off an Australian b35 for my b34?
Don't open either engine. Pull your original engine and store it for later options for originality. Install the E34 engine complete (if it is in as good condition as you suggest), you will need engine mount adaptors like this. http://www.bmw-stuff.com/proddetail.asp?prod=m30r Complete install, engin...

Re: Dedicated Laundry?
I made my own powdercoating oven out of a stove and a washing machine. I stripped the washing machine apart so that i was left with the 4 sides and lined these with fibreglass ceiling insulation. Inside this I use scrap stainless steel sheeting, so it is now 4 insulated ss lined walls. Next step was...

I reckon Gaz is on the right track by retaining electronic control of the ignition system. Go for a Microsquirt module and run wasted spark with a six post coil or 3 dual post coils. This will give you fully programmable ignition curves and rev limiter and no need for a distibutor. Personally I thin...

I believe this is correct Dan. Has anyone on here done this?
Here is a thread that looks to be the vice versa set up.

Re: M88 vs S38
Hi Dan They are different by about 6mm. The difference is in the head, cam box, valve cover and timing chain chest. I had one of each at the same time and measured them both. You can see the difference if you look at a picture of the valve cover and compare the front section where the oil filler cap...

Re: M88/3 Temp Gauge, High Idle and Fuel Mixture Fun
The idle speed control valve draws air from the intake plenum through the hose located between cylinders 4 and 5. Pull this hose off and plug both the hose and the plenum then start the engine. If the idle speed drops then the extra air is coming in through the idle valve - look at the valve itself ...

Hi There
Welcome to the forum, it is a great source of information and help. Those of us down under suffer high parts prices from the local dealers and can advise alternative suppliers so don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it.
Cheers

Just do it. You only live once. Better to do something and regret it than never to do it at all.

Re: M635 Chain Tensioner Piston
Reviving this thread. If I replace the stock tensioner piston with the S50 version, do I need to keep the diaphragm #30 from the old piston. I read the diaphragm is to smooth out oil pressure pulses and was added to post '85 cars. Sharkfan's M88 didn't have the diaphragm before or after. http://www...

The early ones can be made to fit fairly easily, The outside profile is the same, there is a slight difference in the clamp on the ends.

This stuff works well ACF-50. It is used in aircraft to protect inside tube airframes so that they do not rust from the inside out.

Re: E24 stainless steel brake line kits - DOT legal - On sale
The front 4 spot calipers from an M5 or M6 require a longer fitting than the 635CSI ones. If you try to put 635 lines on the M6 calipers the nut hits the caliper before the fitting seats in the caliper.garagistic wrote:Yes they will.
