Re: Group C JPS tribute build.

Wheels will probably need spacers. Would like to lower it more but the spoiler is quite deep, so may be an issue. This is the prototype built by @ozibimmer. I haven't driven it yet but expect the steering weight to be horrendous! In the long run I will probably get custom wheels made.

Re: E12 based car

.....I am all clear about ....... J-tronic vs M-tronic ....... Post 5/82 cars have a considerably improved rear suspension design. This can (with some work) be fitted into an earlier chassis and it is probably worthwhile if you are going for a power upgrade. Post 5/82 cars also have a completely di...

Re: Getrag Transmission Numbers.... Again

Great info, thanks Brucey. I'm interested if anyone has an opinion how the 265/6 feels compared to the 260. I've heard the 265 is referred to as a more desirable box. Does it feel sportier? Different linkage feel? Tighter? I believe the 265/5 CR is referred to as the sports box, was the 265/ever ref...

Re: High Speed - Steering is Very Loose

Thanks Brucey, that's really helpful. I won't be modifying the suspension, so will just have to live with it. Can you describe the handling issues I will have with the positive scrub radius? Also I found this excellent offset calculator - been playing with lots of different combinations. https://www...

Re: High Speed - Steering is Very Loose

Late comer to this thread! I've already got 16 x 0" wheels on my Group C tribute but they still don't fill out the guards - not much choice but to go with a larger negative offset or spacers - which will give me a positive scrub radius. Is there any way to dial this out by modifying the suspension?

Re: Group C JPS tribute build.

Update: Flares test fitted. Bit of tweaking to do. Looking at getting the combination of offset and spacers right to fill the guards. Wheels on here are 16" x 10" Simmons V5. Closest spec with online calculators is 255/45/R16 x 10" at -40 offset to fill the guards - alternatively I could go with les...

Door handle sticking open, not flicking back with spring.

Hi, my left side door handle seems to be sticking open - it doesn't spring back naturally. Once I push it in the door will close properly.

Before I dismantle does anyone have a similar experience with a simple fix? Many thanks!
