The ABS sensor wires on the front of my car had perished and broken, but the sensors themselves were fine(reading the correct ohms etc). I got some twin core cable from my local DIY store of the correct grade and cut out the damaged section(about 50cm) then soldered and heatshrinked the joins I mad...

The royal blue '87 car has been sold on now to a friend who has since sold it again, the bronzit beige '89 highline I still have and has been back on the road a while now, lots of mechanical stuff done to it

So I found this pic posted on a forum the other day... Have just replaced the transistor on my '89 as I was having issues with the blower speed. The one I removed was original from what I could see but it wasn't the 2N3055 but a 2N3771. I still fitted the 3055 and it works perfectly. What's the difference between the two types?
