Re: Oil Pressure Warning Light

Check the oil pressure sensor at the back of the cylinder head first - if there is any oil even slightly weeping from it then replace it.

If that is clear then perhaps check the banjo bolts on the cylinder head oil spray bar.

Re: 635csi automatik transmission problems

There is a pawl, or tooth, inside the gearbox that locks the car stationary when the gearbox is put into Park. The pawl can break - it's a gearbox out and apart job to fix it if I recall correctly.

This is the thread you need to read... https://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=232433&hilit=m635+m3+throttle#p232433 Basically my bit of that story was that mine snapped - I replaced it with an M3 throttle cable as per the second post in that thread, confirmed it works well, but I also took ...

Re: Stereo upgrade.

You could screw it into the carpet section of the centre console or even the carpet over the transmission tunnel. I have both a cup holder and an iPod/phone mount attached that way - they are completely sturdy and once removed only the carpet is flattened - which springs back up soon enough.

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Decided to run the 635CSi to the shops and back and the bonnet bowden cable broke - not so bad but this is my third bonnet cable in as many months following the same happening to my E39 and then my E34. Cable is NLA from BMW so I have taken the bits to my trusty cable maker in Dorking (who has recen...

oooofff - that's lovely - which chassis number and what colour is that one? I always wanted a Baltic Blue M635CSi but Ron checked for me years ago and we don't believe there was a rhd one made.

Wasn’t the issue with the roof that whomever made the sliding glass panels took the panels and mechanism away and left fixed glass panels in place?
