My 87 M6 has been sitting for 6-8 weeks while i got the time to change the steering pump. When I started it up it was running rough and smoking lightly. I pulled the plugs and they have oil on the threads. I have some idea's about what has happened but would like other idea's before I dig any deeper.

Great info, thanks to all. I am using the step hard on the brake pedal, hold down, open bleeder valve and then tighten, release brake pedal. The sequence is RR, LR, RF, LF. (M6 has dual front bleeders, inside outside sequence) Will try bleeding in a different sequence
