Fuel smell in cabin
hello Gruppe, I have an 87 M6 and noticed that after i filled her and went for a drive, there's been a pretty strong fuel smell inside the cabin. Some searching here among 635s shows that it could be a loose clamp on the cold start injector but does the S38 have this as well? I don't see fuel drippi...

Re: Oil Leak from rear of engine.. advice
Luckily this fix must go down as one of the cheapest in history, under a tenner for the parts. If i added the labour in at £65 an hour though, then it would be another story :) Timing chain is good on my baby. However brakes are binding with front right running the hottest / pulling so i do believe...

A prime candidate!
would this be part of the reason the car wanders during turns?

87 M6 Steering issue, I've searched and looked diagnosed. Stumped!
Hi guys, So the steering wheel has a pretty good dead spot in the center (which we know is typical) and has a minor clicking sound in the shaft. When turning at highway speeds, the car will turn in, then wander slightly to the outside of the turn and will require another steering input. (so if you'r...

Re: Bought a Getrag 265/6
Just looked at photos - I'm assuming it's the right bellhousing with the sensor holes. You'll need the mounting crossmember and the clutch pivot. I think the clutch itself is the same, but you can check this easily on realoem of course. From my experience, this box is great, but really does need ti...

Can we update these posts with non-photobucket hosted pix? this thread is essential to the survival of our cars IMO and would be great to see the pictures instead of Photobucket's lame notice about upgrading your service lol

Re: Leatherique Interior Project Begins
what I found with the crack filler is it shows through the dye a little bit due to not being able to rub it down very well, so what I did was give a few coats of dyen then flat the dye a little. the dye dries very quickly so this can be done almost straight as and where necessary.. this is how mine...

Re: Leatherique Interior Project Begins
Swapped driver's seat that is now the passenger's seat with some cracks filled. My advice with the crack filler... only put it in the crack and be careful not to get it anywhere on the seat that it is not needed as this stuff does not sand easily. I'd recommend an artist spatula as the "perfec...

Re: Adjusting the dashboard on M6
thanks for the reply. The reason I think it's the dash is that main line of the dash also falls below the continuous line on the door card. A pillar looks correct.

Adjusting the dashboard on M6
Hi all, PO had the dash replaced on my 87 m6, and the top of the dash doesn't line up with the doorcard, and there is a clear indentation on the A pillars where you can see where the original dash sat. I've looked at the dash removal tutorial in the tech section - I'm unclear however of which of the...

Removing Zender Side Skirts
Friends - new to the forum and to M6 ownership. I've searched unsuccessfully for the following info so I thought i'd start a thread. I recently purchase an 87 the PO had installed Zender rocker panel "side skirts." Has anyone had these and then removed them? I'm wondering if I"m going...
