You can buy a boot with the clip in piece.
I got one from a supplier in Germany last year.

You could also try Stirling Motorworks at Brookvale. Did my 5 speed swap and many engine changes I’ve seen.

Re: Metal strips in headlining over door
Hi Pod,
No photo possible. the strips are between the headliner and the roof panel (ie "inside").
Odd, but not critical issue.

Both sides, just sitting loose in/on headliner.
Anyone know what these are?
Thanks,
Toby

Re: January 2018 Catch up?
HI Josh,
Early May better for me as I have a work trip to Munich in the second half (All three important car museums too!).
The question was "does the car have A/C". Now it is getting to "does the car have heating"?

Fitted the W&N front strut brace.
Very surprised at how much of an improvement it made.
Thanks for the help.

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?
Fitted a front strut bar.
I am very surprised at how much sharper the front feels.
I thought it would be as much for bling, but not so.
BTW, I only went for it after Brucey posted similar thoughts. Brucey know stuff.

Re: WTB special tool for putting boot lid springs in
I used a loop of small rope. just pulled the spring "leg" into position, undid the knot, withdrew the rope.

WTB: Cruise control clutch disengage switch and bracket
Hi All,
Last part to finish my swap.
It's the bracket that goes on the pedal box to mount the disengage switch on the clutch pedal.
a working switch would be good too, but not essential.
Thanks,
Toby

Re: WTB Front strut brace
HI Josh and Brick, Thanks for the offer/info. Josh, I have a series 2, I believe this needs a different brace, so I have gone with Bricks W&N recommendation. Their price on a nice looking brace wasn't too bad (it was the bunch of other stuff I bought whilst on the site that cost me......) Thanks...

Hi All,
Does anyone have a spare Front strut brace that I can buy?
(I tried to steal Denis' Alpina one, but he wouldn't let it happen)
Thanks,
Toby
