Re: Rial Mesh or similar wheels

I have the original 14" BBS mesh wheels that come on my '85 635 Euro. They have brand new BMW center caps installed. Very good condition for being on the car for 20+ years. They are located in Fort Worth so you wouldn't have to ship them :) You have very few options for tires but I think some white ...

I don't think you would have any clearance issues but I'd expect the speedometer to read ~3.2% slower per the calculation here: https://tiresize.com/comparison/

Re: Euro stripes

My car's color is cosmos blue. I'm wondering what color strips would typically have been installed on it?

It originally came with a two color pin strip which I removed due to its poor condition.

Re: Finally! '85 635CSi - Euro-Spec-Stick!

My dash has a couple cracks in the same place as yours...and I'm ok with it :) I'd start with making sure your existing linkage is in good shape. Mine was missing a screw holding the sheet metal plate to the transmission and the sheet metal plate eventually broken in half at the weld. When new and p...

Re: Finally! '85 635CSi - Euro-Spec-Stick!

I think you got a good price provided the rust repair isn't any worse than it appears. Engine bay looks like the PO kept up with preventive maintenance...judging by new looking belts etc. I spent lots of $ and time catching up on preventative maintenance on my '85 Euro after I bought it but enjoyed ...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Calibrated my speedometer...so it now reads exactly the same as my gps in the 60~80mph range and about 1mph fast at 40mph. Previously it was reading about 10% fast which was a bit much for my likeing. My '85 e24 Euro had the speedometer replaced with a US spec version during federalization. Upon ins...

Re: injectors 1982 635 csi euro manual in australia

Richard, I had the low-impedance injectors on my '83 635 rebuilt after finding no replacements available. It is likely your best option. They should also flow test them to see if they are well matched. You can measure the impedance of your injectors to know for sure if they are low(~2.5Ohm) or high(...

Don't run your fog lights prior to entering a car wash or you risk breaking the lense. Learned it the hard way. :(

I found a home for my orphaned Comfort seats. Build some custom brackets for my son's '72 Volvo 142. Perfect fit and a big improvement :)

Re: WTB NOS Heated Mirror Glass Drivers Side Mirror

The new glass I installed was a BMW NOS heated mirror and most of the back side is covered in double sided tape. The original double sided tape was not very sticky. The original glass was held on by double sided tape an also a small bead of glue around the mirror edge. I scraped off the old cement a...

Looking for NOS heated mirror glass drivers side. It can have the warning message on the front or not. My passenger side glass came off and I found NOS for it on ebay...looking now for a match for the drivers side.

Re: FOUND - WTB Early E24/E28 Seat Rails

Here is an update on my Recarro seat installation. Purchased a set of seat adapters from Aardvark Racing https://www.2002parts.com/ and the original manual seat rails for my comfort seats worked just fine. On a related note, the leather upholstery was done by Aardvark Racing and turned out very well.

I got a chance to take a closer look at my car today with new information learned here. It turns out that my Rear fog lights were never disabled during the federalization process. I replaced both blown bulbs and having learned how to operate them found they work as expected for a Euro car. 1)turn si...

Hi creame24,

Thanks for the update.

If anyone happens to have an pair of recaro seats like the ones pictured they would want to trade for my near perfect black leather comfort seats, then let me know. Otherwise they are going in my son's 72 Volvo 142 https://flic.kr/s/aHskXRB77U

Hi MrE,
I bet my rear fog lights are supposed to work as yours are described since I do have bulbs in both fog light positions. Mine came from Europe back in the day and has a 1/85 production date.

Re: Tail light question

Thanks for the replies! My fog lights don't turn on the Euro fog light bulb in the rear. As much as I'd like to return the car to its original Euro configuration, using the red fog light is certainly not an option here. I like the idea of wiring up the Euro fog light as an additional brake light. Th...
