Re: M635CSi #388 for sale
Sold £24k - with buyers premium £25,440 I was happy with price achieved as was buyer so win / win. New owner used to have M635CSi but in unusual colour (brown) and regretted selling it so has been on the lookout for another one ever since. I hope that the new owner enjoys the car as much as i did. W...

Re: M635CSi #388 for sale
@brickwhite - Don't think there's any confusion - It says quite clearly in the main body text that it was replaced (below picture of speedo) - the moral of the tale is not to skim read :D @mirdif64 - yes it's gone live - best offer of £100 is a tad short of the reserve but lets see how we get on - t...

M635CSi #388 for sale
So I've decided to sell my M635CSi, full details of which can be found on the Collecting Cars website (www.collectingcars.com) - as descriptions go on auction sites I think it's one of the fullest so nothing really to add here and on top of that there are 200+ pictures - the car is running really we...

Re: M635 Throttle Cable
Good Morning If anyone were able to lend me a cable that would be brilliant. In the meantime, the cable manufacturers I've spoken to have asked for pictures in the first instance. So if you could send me those then we can get the ball rolling - my email address is houghsb@gmail.com Incidentally can ...

Re: M635 Throttle Cable
OK so Classic Heroes are being somewhat uncommunicative at the moment so going to do myself. Now my current throttle cable was fashioned at the side of the road by an enthusiastic RAC man who in my humble opinion has done quite a good job but I still want a proper replacement. I would rather not ada...

Thanks. I'll give it a month or so, then pop it in the private ads and see how we get on from there.

UK M635 CSI - pricing
<mods please move if not in right area> So I'm coming round to the idea that I want to sell my car but I wanted some advice on where prices are before I go any further. Now I know the agreed value for insurance is not a good guide for market prices but as this only seems to be going one way makes me...

Re: M635 Throttle Cable
Ah thanks, so it's not a new problem then.
I'll let you know how Barney gets on having one made up - we might do a bulk buy?
It can't be too difficult to manufacture as the RAC man fashioned a replacement by the side of the road which seems pretty robust

M635 Throttle Cable
Good Morning Anyone know where I can get a throttle cable for a RHD M635? Classic Heroes are telling me that BMW no longer stock and that they'll have to get one specially made up. It surely can't be that difficult as the RAC man fashioned a replacement by the side of the road but whenever I see the...

Re: M635CSI not starting
And still we are no closer to a fix.
Classic Heroes sent ECU away for repair but no fault found. Fitted ECU back into car and same old problem. Next step is to put "my" ECU in other car to see if problem replicates itself. Suffice to say plenty of head scratching going on in Buxted

Re: M635CSI not starting
Here's a quick update on where we are. The car is still not fixed but it looks as though the problems have been identified. So anyway I got the car started and took it to Classic Heroes - Initially the car was found to have a very weak spark which was down to a crack in the coil body and the distrib...

Re: M635CSI not starting
Ah so now it gets interesting 8) So being the aforementioned mechanical numpty I adhere to the adage of self healing problems so if you leave it the problem will resolve itself. Well not quite in this situation but the absence of any help has led me to consider ringing the RAC to come and fix. As my...

Re: M635CSI not starting
Thanks
In these links and various other images on line it shows the fuel pump relay attached to the fuse box yet from reading posts on here, I believe I should be looking under the dashboard (late 86 car) A cursory look doesn't reveal anything so where should I be looking?

Re: Original Radio for 85 M635
A spot of thread resurrection. Having looked through various threads on here there seems to be a bewildering choice of appropriate stereo units that are age specific. Now I admit to knowing nothing about stereo's so all I want to know is what I need to look for in a stereo that makes it suitable for...

Re: UK Sherborne Castle 8th April
Normally yes, however Sherborne is the launch of of the Sharknose Collection by the UK BMW Owners Club aimed at furthering interest in E3-E28 and so there's a push to get as many shark cars to attend. Allied to that there's now an E24 register run by the gentlemen who owns 2000AL so plaudits to the ...
