Re: '84 633CSi / Manual / $1300

It runs and drives reliably. For $1300 that's incredible! You've got me checking on one-way plane tickets and return driving routes.... I'll gladly pick you up at the airport. I have no doubt it'll make it down to AL. Won't be super comfortable drive (seats are meh) but it'll (more than likely) mak...

Thanks.

It's a little dirty. Haven't had the chance to get it cleaned up yet due to an injury. But it's a $1300 E24 so don't expect anything too special 😃

'84 633CSi / Manual / $1300

Good for a daily, cruiser, parts, whatever your heart desires. Despite it being my backup car, I get compliments on the thing all the time. It's a classic from the best years of BMW. ----------------------------------- Thinning out my BMW collection so I'd like it gone. I'll possibly be putting up m...

I highly suggest finding new injectors as opposed to getting your stock ones flowed. It's not cost effective at all to reflow old injectors.

Re: Full Exterior Restoration Costs

Nobody has stated the most obvious course of action. Do it yourself  If you have the resources, and most importantly patience, for sure. For me, body work is like roofing a house, after you do it once you'll never want to do it again. Yes, but as you say you're spending $6k on the work, that ...

Re: Gauge Cluster Compatibility

Good to know, thanks for the info. Do I need a pre-86 e28 cluster since I have a pre-86 e24 cluster? I know they changed the e24 cluster after 85. I'm still learning the E24 nuances but I'll tell you I have an '87 E28 cluster in my 84 E24. Only thing is the gas gauge has been wonky but I'm thinking...

Re: Gauge Cluster Compatibility

E28 clusters work in E24's (84+). I have one in my E24. You just need to swap the bezel. Pull out the cluster, undo all the screws around the outside of the back of the unit, put new E28 cluster in the E24 bezel, screw in and replace. While you're in there might as well do odometer gears too.

In that condition? Run. Run far, far, away. Short of rat rodding it, nope.

I got a pair of hood struts from amazon maybe a year ago. Much cheaper than OEM and they work great. https://www.amazon.com/StrongArm-4338-Hood-Support-1987-88/dp/B000GBD2QW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476678709&sr=8-1&keywords=StrongArm+4338+BMW+M6+%28E24%29+Hood+Lift+Support+1987-88%2C+Pa...

WTB: Door Panel, Check Panel, + more

Like my other thread says, I'm about to hack my passenger door panel off to fix my door. So I need a pearl beige replacement. Check panel cover, I only the need the clear plastic part but I'll take the whole thing too. One HVAC slider button. This guy: https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/641...

Re: Full Exterior Restoration Costs

My E28 is in paint now. It's mostly just a respray with a few small holes filled for the euro bumpers. I did all of the disassembly and they aren't doing the engine bay or door jams (they're already in good shape). The 150-200hr mark is also what I was quoted. I went to several reputable shops and w...

Re: About to install the BAV auto spring/shock kit. Any tips?

Tips on installing the whole thing? It's fairly easy. Keep note of all of the washers/spacers/ect so they go back in the correct order. Go to autozone and rent a spring compressor. I can't see your location but if you're in an area with rust, the front shocks might be a pain. The screw collar can be...

Door won't open

The newly acquired E24 has an issue that I'm stumped with. The passanger door will not open or unlock. The interior door handle is broken, just an empty hole that I can't stick my giant monkey hands into. It won't unlock or open from the outside. Unlocking from the driver's door won't unlock the pas...
