My original one is in English (I think) but I'll check!

13 Button obc

For a 1988 635csi but I believe the e28 is the same unit, (I have the coding plug from mine) no screen bleed and a working unit obviously :-)

I'm in the UK FYI

Bmw service history! (For those of us without)

So, my car came with a wad of receipts, and I've added a bigger one to it! But sadly the service history was missing, the old boy who previously had the car had put it somewhere 'safe'.. Anyway, I decided to go a bit columbo, an email to Customer.Information@bmw.co.uk And a bit of sweet talking and ...

Re: Greetings from Norway, My 85 635CSi (2016 update)

Hello Norway from the UK! That's a great looking six! And the ACS wheels are on point =D> I was so tempted by them before I bought the style 5's as I had them on an e36 M3 previously.. looks awesome, and looking forward to updates! Get a project thread up! :D

Re: Hi! New 1988 Highline member!

What a lovely looking 6er. You were saying it runs rich. At idle? Or the whole way through. There are a few adjustment tricks u can perform on the airflow meter. The adjustments are best performed with the aid of an airflow mixture gauge/ wideband sensor. Thanks, and thanks for the advice :-) altho...

Re: Hi! New 1988 Highline member!

The car has presence. Looks great. I'm envious about it being your daily driver. Here's a picture of my front yard this morning - this is not an environment for cars you care about. Thanks! Aaah yes I'm sure there's a yard somewhere under that snow! (I'm a bit jealous.. it just rains here) I've act...

Re: 1988 daily driver fun!

Well, after much deliberation and debate, I've decided that, as much as I'd love her as a daily, it's not fair and I think the English wet winter will ruin her, so here she is being tucked in to her warm storage. It'll also give me a chance to get all the little jobs done before the spring

Lower dash under steering column in grey lthr. RHD

Looking for the leather dash part to go under the steering column, the one with the headlight adjuster control sunk into it. Mine has a broken clip and at some point has had something glued onto it using superglue. The interior is Grey leather. Located in UK (Sussex) and happy to pay postage ...

Re: Trackers

Having previously had a subscription based tracker in a couple of cars I realised that my insurance company didn't actually give a great discount over a cat 1 so I now have a gprs / 3g tracker in the 635.. these are readily available for around £40 and all you do is pop a pay as you go sim in it and...

Re: 1988 daily driver fun!

My experience of the Lokari liners is that they do offer very real protection to the outer wings. They do not protect the "return" edge of the trumpets that extends back to the shock mount reinforcement. My burgundy 635 was used as a daily driver for 20k miles on UK roads with the liners ...

Re: Hi! New 1988 Highline member!

The headlight wipers on both my E24's have never worked but on both cars I have re-jigged the wiring to the headlight washer pump so that it comes on when the windscreen Intensive Wash pump is used; it might be worth a consideration while you're ripping out the wipers and their motors. That's not a...

Re: 1988 daily driver fun!

Today, I retrofitted an E30 analogue clock I had laying about, my OBC display is kaput and until I can find a replacement lcd I thought I might fill the hole with something useful, you'll need a bracket to fit it in place of the larger 13 button obc but they are still available for £20 from the stea...

Re: 1988 daily driver fun!

That looks awesome! I fondly remember tooling down to Brighton in my M535i, picking up my mate Iain who spent all of our university years raving about BMWs (when I was stuck on British stuff) and driving to Eastbourne to get a set of 16" E38 Style 5s to replace the bald 15" E34 Style 5s f...

I'm from Hastings originally. Lovely looking car. Why did you get rid of the H/L washers and wipers? Ah, not far at all! And thanks, oh and because I think they look terrible and don't serve much purpose, I still have all the motors etc, they are pretty aged though, I've also removed the ridiculous...

So... now.. she's a little lower and handles as God intended! Sadly I've no pics of the trans service but that was next on the agenda.. along with a Cat1 alarm and immobiliser and a GPS tracker..
