Re: Classic Car Show NEC 9/10/11 Nov.

Hi Ron Had a really good day meeting Ron at the BMW Stand. Sorry for asking you so many questions about are cars. It’s a shame someone doesn’t organise an e24 meeting somewhere central to give everyone a good chance of getting there. I see some meetings held that are most often down south. Making it...

Re: Need help. Engine Ground Straps

Thanks Guys. I’v Got my Fingers crossed 🤞 it’s those Earth Straps Missing that’s causing the lumpy ible. The last owner in 2000 had the Head Gasket replaced after it failed around number 6 Cylinder and then had the Cylinder Head skimmed. Just hopping the Mechanic forgot to re-fit them after re-build...

Re: Need help. Engine Ground Straps

Thanks Brucy. I was hoping you would say it needs those Ground Straps solving my poor idle. My Car is the Chrome Bumper Car. I’ll probably check and clean the existing Ground Straps then check the Fuel Delivery rate then the injectors. I have checked and changed the vacuum hoses, Fuel Tank, Fuel Cap...

If yes then where would the other end of the Cylinder Head Ground connect to. The one on the Cam Cover to the Firewall is straight ...

Managed to get the structure of the Pocket made out of light Aluminium from a friend who works in a Fabrication Company. The material to cover it came from the Trunk/Boot of a 1988 e...

Re: Rear angled Number Plate Holder

Hi Ron.

Sorry, just so I’m clear. Are you saying the uk cars did have the angled rear Number Plate Holders fitted. If the answer is yes Ron do you think anyone has one that they could take some measurements of so I could fabricate a new piece.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if uk spec Cars were fitted with the rear angled Number Plate Holder. Or was the rear Number Plate in the uk simply screwed to the car body.

Thanks

Re: Entry Level Welding Equipment

Hi Guys

Don’t buy anything less than 150amp gas mig welder. Flux wire is useless. It will not give you a constant clean flow.
Find a used one on ebay. You’re wasting your money buying new if your just doing the odd one off jobs.

Re: '86 Sport Seat Disassembly for Re-cover

Hi

If you're upholstery guy has not done this type of seat before i would walk away and find someone who has. Even if it means traveling some distance. You only want to do that type of job once. It's worth paying more to have a proper job done.
