Hi

Ironically I prefer the positive noise my passenger side makes. I’ll Add it to the ever growing list of items I need to do.

Re: CTECK battery charger.

Hi Ron,

I have one of these Chargers and it says before you connect it to the Battery it should be turned on. I have a permanent connection to the Battery so i can just plug it straight into the Charger.

Re: Entry Level Welding Equipment

Hi Guys Don’t buy anything less than 150amp gas mig welder and don’t use anything less than Argon 5 with 10 litre Bottle. Using small Bottles is a false economy they don’t last. Flux wire is useless. It will not give you a constant clean flow. Find a used one on ebay. You’re wasting your money buyi...

Hi

My car is an 86 and I wasn’t sure if that noise was right. My drivers door does it but my passenger side doesn’t.

Re: Classic Car Show NEC 9/10/11 Nov.

Hi Ron Had a really good day meeting Ron at the BMW Stand. Sorry for asking you so many questions about are cars. It’s a shame someone doesn’t organise an e24 meeting somewhere central to give everyone a good chance of getting there. I see some meetings held that are most often down south. Making it...

Re: Need help. Engine Ground Straps

Thanks Guys. I’v Got my Fingers crossed 🤞 it’s those Earth Straps Missing that’s causing the lumpy ible. The last owner in 2000 had the Head Gasket replaced after it failed around number 6 Cylinder and then had the Cylinder Head skimmed. Just hopping the Mechanic forgot to re-fit them after re-build...

Re: Need help. Engine Ground Straps

Thanks Brucy. I was hoping you would say it needs those Ground Straps solving my poor idle. My Car is the Chrome Bumper Car. I’ll probably check and clean the existing Ground Straps then check the Fuel Delivery rate then the injectors. I have checked and changed the vacuum hoses, Fuel Tank, Fuel Cap...

Need help. Engine Ground Straps

Hi Guys Does a 1986 uk Car require a Ground On the rear of the Cylinder Head above the Starter Motor and one from the rear of the Cam Cover Fixing Bolt to the Firewall. If yes then where would the other end of the Cylinder Head Ground connect to. The one on the Cam Cover to the Firewall is straight ...

If you google a Company by you who refurbish Radiators, they usually also refurbish Fuel Tankss.
I had mine done by a Company in Leeds. Did a good job.

Re: Rear angled Number Plate Holder

Hi Ron.

Sorry, just so I’m clear. Are you saying the uk cars did have the angled rear Number Plate Holders fitted. If the answer is yes Ron do you think anyone has one that they could take some measurements of so I could fabricate a new piece.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me if uk spec Cars were fitted with the rear angled Number Plate Holder. Or was the rear Number Plate in the uk simply screwed to the car body.

Thanks
