I would disconnect the battery and do continuity checks and
look for an open circuit.

Re: Rocinante Redux
I for one didn't think you were throwing parts in on a brake problem.
Your diagnosis on a dropping brake pedal would indicate master cylinder.
If it was me, I would have done the same. Just so happens that a leaking caliper
has a similar symptom.

If the known good motor has the same results, there's a
problem with the going down wire from the switch to motor.

Re: Rear window only goes down, never up
Here is a list for the ETM's. If you jump the motor, bypass the switches will it go up?
I would do a continuity test from the switches to the motors.
If there's a break, test each section of wire.

Make sure the battery is fully charged before starting.
If it's not, while cranking the reserve in the battery may not be enough
to power the starting circuit.

Re: Wiper Arm Guard Screw
So, the photo I posted was from an arm I bought many years ago. I remebered screws holding the wing on the arm. When I saw the rivets I was surprised. I said to myself, old age does affect memory. It was a beautiful day last Saturday here in NY. So I took the 6 to strech it's legs. I took a look at ...

Re: Wiper Arm Guard Screw
My US 86 (owned for 36 yrs) has the wing on it like yours. It's not aftermarket,
it's to put more downforce on the windshield at high speeds.
Realoem does not show the wing or the screws. What I'll do is take my screw and measure
the specs. Give me a couple of days

how will you afford the vast cost of a restoration?

Grnshrk,
I use Adams. The great thing is that you don't have to worry
if the spray gets on the paint, it just evaporates away.

Re: Power steering pump misbehavior
I didn't know exactly what causes cavitation so I searched and found this. Cavitation in pumps is caused by excessively low pressure at the pump inlet. A blockage or restriction such as a clogged filter or part-closed valve mounted on the inlet to the pump can cause it. (A partially clogged hose, ma...

Re: Power steering pump misbehavior
When you say "pump the brakes", you're referring to raising the level of the reservoir?
That's where you see the foam? I'll assume when the car is running the brakes work ok.
As long as there are no leakes in the system, I'm leaning to cavitation in the pump.
That's all I got.
