Re: M88 Rough Idle, Noise, Vibration till warm.

I wonder if the cold start injector is bad. Mine does this when its cold and I know my cold start injector isnt really doing anything. But when mine warms up its fine as well. I'm fairly certain mine has to do with the Johnson box that was installed when it was federalized in '85. I unhooked mine la...

Re: New Member, M635csi

Looks super tidy, nice work... You might want to replace the old pusher fan for a Spal that has a lot higher capacity. There is a big difference and the cost of the spal fan is negligible. Also, could you possibly show what the upper brackets look like for the parallel flow condenser? Thanks for sh...

Air Conditioning Overhaul

Air Conditioning Overhaul: System was inoperable and I live in a hot, humid climate with a black car. The objective was to replace the system with components that use 134 effectively and to refurbish any parts or seals in the cabin that would dimimish the air flow to the passengers. New Parts: paral...

Re: New Member, M635csi

It's been almost a year since the last update on this car. I just finished having the exhaust system fixed. When I bought the car it had a really hacked setup, I'm sure this is a common experience for all of us. Along the way the euro headers were hacked and welded. It was essentially a euro header ...

Re: New Member, M635csi

I got similar wheel spec but have 255/40/17 on rear. U need to employ some counter measures to cope with the stagger otherwise understeer is a big issue. Front and rear strut tower bars are defiantly worth it, and a rear adjutable sway bar. Upgrading all bushes really helps these cars also. Along w...

Re: 1985 635CSI Diamantschwarz Metallic - Euro Spec

I just sent an email to ya. Glad you got the ac figured out. What an odd issue with the temp sensor in the evaporator. I’m digging into my ac system this week finally as I’ve been working on my ac in my 83 e28 and finally buttoned that up last night. You’ve got a couple of great looking e24s!

Re: New Member, M635csi

Thanks for the warm welcome! I love the color too! It's a special order (Sonderlackierung sp?) in Blue Black metallic. To me it looks really similar to Diamond Schwarz. Tire size on the front wheel is 225/45-17 and the wheel is 8.5 x17 et 13 tire on the rear is 245/40-17 and the wheel is 10 x 17 et ...

1985 M635csi: Nov 2020 updates, Exhaust and AC

Hello all. I have been looking for a euro e24 for a couple of years and ended up finding an '85 M635csi not too far away from me here in Texas. I am excited to have the car and look forward to restoring it to its former glory. This is my first e24. I have a couple of e28s and and an e12 so I'm not n...
