Looking for Good Windshield and Rear Window in TX

The windshield on the race car is pretty sand blasted since it's OEM. Looking for a good used one and it doesn't have to be OEM. Also would like to find a rear window and trim to replace the Lexan (FIA Required it to be glass so trying to keep it more original). I'm in Waco so like to keep it local ...

I have the perfect 4.0L S38 sitting in my shop for this project. PM me for details but it would be epic, 425shp all motor!

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

Shipper, I'm definitely topping out in 4th gear which is 1:1 (your 5th on the dog leg obviously). But I've got a .83 OD for 5th and was hitting about 5800 rpm at the end of the front straight at Indy. which was almost 140 mph. Road America has longer straights but I won't get to try it out till next...

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

Yep 270rwhp was the M30 and the car is a rocket. The S38 put down about 340 to the rear wheels from an old build but honestly with the 3.91 and the close ratio TKO it’s really a negligible difference. I can feel the power difference on the top end but out of the corners it’s about a wash. Yep @Rapid...

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

For those of you following on instagram the car is done, dyno tuned and results came back this morning.

270 rwhp on a dynojet. AFR's are around 12.8-13.1:1 and thats only at 6800rpm and the HP was climbing. I'll post pictures of the dyno sheets after I pick it up today.

Re: Power steering glitch

It's not the pulley. Check your inlet hose to make sure it's not collapsing under suction. Also check your regulator (the manual outlines how to pressure test the system for proper operation). You can get pressure test gauges from any hydraulic hose shop. Often just ask to borrow a setup and they ma...

Replica Alpina M30 Valve Cover

Not meant to be an exact copy but close.

Will be finished out with black wrinkle paint.

Considering the real ones are going for over 1000 how does 300 sound?

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

The M30 arrived today but I’m going to run the S38 for a bit longer since I don’t want to rush the tuning on this work of art. I also fabricated a clone Alpina Valve cover like the original group A cars had. If there is any interest I can have a run of the emblems made. F4285007-AFD0-46F1-96C8-F6EB3...

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

Been a long winter with lots of projects. BUT I did manage to get the MTech Spoiler restored and mounted. IMG_0957.jpg The race M30 is also complete and being shipped back from Top End Performance. I don't think we'll have it done for the May race but maybe the July race. So sad that I have to run t...

Re: Modified throttle bodies survey/thoughts

Just curious why everyone wants to stick with the OEM TB?? There are plenty of generic, Honda and mustang throttle bodies out there for 50-150$ all day long new and used. These range from 65-105mm depending on the application. All you need is a simple four bolt adapter made from 1” aluminum plate. P...

Re: WTB M-Tech Rear Spoiler, Oil filter housing and Headers

Thanks. The primaries a bit small. I’m possibly going to have a set custom made with larger primaries. It takes a big pipe to get all that air out of an M30 head at 7k plus rpm!

S38B35 Complete Head

I have a VERY nice S38B35 head for sale. Complete disassembled and ready for build minus it will need the valve seats reground and the valves lapped (minor work). VAC gets 1700 for a basic core casting. Here you get: Lower head Upper head intake and exhaust cams (stock B35 profile) cam sprockets shi...

Dash Cap Cover Questions

I’m thinking about putting a dash cap on the race car to cover up some of the more nasty cracks. But I have a few questions. 1. Coverlay or Accuform seem to be the two main ones out there. Which one fits better? 2. I don’t have the center cut out thing about the HVAC panel but I do have the coin tra...

Thanks. I get it mixed up between here and mye28 lol. The headers are going into an 1985 chassis so E12 won’t fit.

WTB M-Tech Rear Spoiler, Oil filter housing and Headers

Like the title states.

I need the oil filter housing with the ports for a cooler.

Prefer a set of long tube headers but I’d consider short ones for the right price. This is for an M30

Shipped to 76705

Re: Updating an M635csi Track Car to a Race Car

Now that the holidays are almost over I've been able to sneak back out to the shop. I've seen a good number of posts lately about big bore throttle bodies. Working with my engine builder he spec'd that I would need at LEAST a 70mm throttle body to achieve the power numbers on the M30 Race Motor. So ...

Re: E24 getrag 6 Spd retrofit.

Doesn’t the s50 share a bellhousing pattern with the smaller M20 series?

What about the T56? Several folks in Finland and Sweden have done that conversion. If you use an automatic Bell and a hydraulic throw out bearing from tilton that seems doable.
