Hey Guys,
My 89 highline has some nasty holes rusting through the exhaust and it's about time to replace it.
Does anyone here have a complete system for sale or even partial?
I would love to go catless!
Thanks guys!

ALOHA! 1989 “Cirrus Blue” highline from Honolulu, Hawaii!!!!
Aloha! Not-so-new member here, been on the board registered for about 4-5 years now, but been lurking for 7+ before I bought my first e24 while I was doing my due diligence learning about the shark. This is my 1989 Cirrus Blue Highline. Hawaii based it’s entire life, originally sold from BMW of Maui...

Re: Blinkers & hazards not working (ground or relay)
Thanks for the quick reply, using archived posts I was able to remove (extremely difficult) the flasher relay. I cleaned the contact points, reinstalled and boom. I have an 89 635 which has an AIRBAG. In order to remove the plastic shroud that houses the relay, the steering wheel must be removed. :e...

Blinkers & hazards not working (ground or relay)
Hello sharksters,
Blinkers and hazards no longer work.
The bulbs check out fine as do the fuses.
When I engage the signal marker the dash does not “click” nor do the hazards.
I understand the flasher relay under the steering column might be the culprit...any other common causes?
Thanks

Re: “Check engine” light, Stomp Test for an 1989
No, can’t get it to 1444
So if my suspicions are confirmed, the “check engine” light is actually the ANTI-LOCK light then my issue is brake related.
I’ll take a look around and keep you guys posted on what I find.

Re: Swapped tranny, car is still in LIMP MODE!?
2.15.20 *update* Since the trans originally came from a 1988 535i, I Looked and was able to source a transmission control unit from an old ‘88 535i.... Once I received it, I swapped it out with my original unit and PRESTO, that did the job. Car is running and shifting smoothly now after the swap. Mo...

Swapped tranny, car is still in LIMP MODE!?
Hey guys My 86’ 635 (build date 4/86) recently went into LIMP MODE loosing all forward gears, the car would only move in REVERSE. I ended up swapping the tranny with a recently rebuilt 4HP-22. Replaced the bearing and cable as well..... Now after the swap, the car is still in LIMP MODE. Is there som...
