if you are doing an entire swap for your harness, not just accessories harness, it needs to match your computer or you have to swap ECU's as well. Check the number on your ECU and the one from your donor vehicle and see if they match.

a good welder at a muffler shop should easily be able to do that.

Have you done a noid light test on the injector connectors while it will not run? This will verify signal to the injectors during your no-start occurrences.
