Re: Idiot Light Bulb Replacement

Thanks for your input.
The alt light does go out once the engine is running with the 5w bulb.
Now to figure out these micro bulbs.

Re: Idiot Light Bulb Replacement

The alt light comes on with the ignition turned to position one. I did change it to a 5w bulb however.
I need to pull the cluster to replace the micro bulbs. Do you think it’s necessary to put the 3w back in the alt circuit?

Idiot Light Bulb Replacement

Re: Interior dash light Binncle light not working any help

The picture below in this post is not a cluster from an e24.
I have just taken mine out however I am having problems posting pics.
All the lights are accessable from the back of the cluster. The two large ones at the top illuminate the orange cluster lights

Re: Programa SI Board replacement

I have looked at them and they seem fine, no teeth missing however a tedious job for another day. One thing you need to remember when resetting the odometer is to do it while the car is not moving. If it aint broke dont fix it, my nerves are shot dealing with this SI Board (minding the guage needles...

Re: Programa SI Board replacement

Purchased the Programa board yesterday, see what happens.
Did the remote battery holder years ago however SI lights have been flashing recently even with new batteries.
Getin that board out is a delicate PITA.

Programa SI Board replacement

Hi all,

Before I order the batteryless SI Board from Progama (it will cost me close to $400 Canadian, shipped) is there anyone that can chirp in on their experience with this upgrade, reliability, fit etc?
Replies always appreciated.
Thx,

Iain

Re: Introducing Crystal

I have been doing some searches on the forum for the SI Board Replacement, came across your comments from several years ago.. Great write up however the link for cluster removal and the batteryless SI board wont connect anymore. Do you still have access to that info and has the board been reliable? ...

Try Again (New Tires)

Replacing my old Toyo Proxy 1's. I have been considering BFG G Force Sport Comp 2 or Conti Extreme Contact Sport. Only interested in a summer performance tire not an all season. My wheels are 16' BBS. Michelin no longer makes a 16" Super Sport however BFG is basically the same thing. Havent rep...

SI Board flashes

Anyone had this problem? I have access to my batteries however when both installed the service indicator lights flash differently each time I start the car. I have a reset tool however that does not help. Sure dont want to take the cluster out to check my old solder job if I can help it. Any suggest...
