Re: New member - Could you help me with my cars history?

oh, it's from here in Orange County.
Crevier BMW is in Santa Ana and if should be able to give you a history of any logged service Phone: (657) 213-3493

But I think any authorized dealer/shop or the factory should be able to give you that same history

Yikes from a relative newbie to the E24 world. This site has been an asset since I first found it. I have over 10 years experience with forums and hosting them. If I can be of help in any way please contact me. PS, sold my company a few years back and am no longer in the biz, this is not a solicitat...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

I would have rather driven it...but I had pulled the doors apart to replace the seals. After striping the I found a thin strip of sheet metal as sort of a base for the rubber that had been bent. I didn't like the way it straightened and have been looking for a replacement

Re: CA residents rejoice! (Maybe) Smog exemption extended to 1982 mfg vehicles

Too little, too late, calipornya can stick their "gracious" plan where the sun don't shine. I removed the ricky ricer sewer pipe the converter added to my M635 and replaced it with a Super Sprint system. I wanted to do the right thing and run a converter but found higher flow cats were a no go as th...

Re: Throttle Body Overhaul

Now that I have the air accumulator removed, I've got a better picture of what is going on. I've only owned this car for few months and this is my first time digging around with tools. I should have seen this before but it didn't stick out till now. I don't have vacuum caps on my throttle body asse...

Re: another 85 M635Csi project

The bolt together ones are fine. I got mine at Schmiedmann for memory and yes in aluminium. I done all the bushes camber steering etc etc and once I put the bars on it was the most massive difference. I guess it makes all the other items work properly as there prob is lots of flex in the towers. Do...

Re: Which Bilstein struts?

Does anyone know the difference in ride height between a standard suspension 1985E24 and an M or sport suspension. I thought I read once that it was 15mm but I can't remember where I read that or find it now to verify I'm thinking of new H&R springs and see they are about 1.25 inches lower than stoc...

Re: Group C JPS tribute build.

Is an Autosolutions short shift kit with a custom extension sleeve and custom delrin knob. I felt the shift lever as supplied was too short and required too much effort - hence the mods. Being longer also falls better to the hand. I'm looking at the Autosolutions complete for my car. How has it wor...

Re: another 85 M635Csi project

Yea, progress we can see. Ron's team at Coast Motor Werk resealed the rear end, checked over the engine, valve train, compression, tune, leak down, and fixed the rattle along with a couple dozen other mechanical things....Along with finding an un-cracked dash, door rubber and stainless trim pieces t...
