Re: M635 Gear Shift Restoration

Just bought an 85 M635 that I think should shift better.
Seems to me that Ireland eng or someone makes a urethane replacement for
#'s 10 & 11...Too many other projects and I can't remember
All three look like they could get sloppy but there may be a reason
for the aftermarket part.

Re: another 85 M635Csi project

TY Gaz....I made 80/90 freeway miles today. The car was solid and a pleasure to drive Rodger that on the sway bars. I'd like to find an aluminum one, solid that doesn't bolt together at the towers. Shifting, it's no tremac but with a light touch and the fresh fluids, it's bearable On the camber...I ...

Hi Gaz, I should have given more detail on the steering...before the new tires and wheels were added, I replaced all the worn bushings (front/rear) and added the mwrench reinforcement. No sign of trouble with the mount but the reinforcement seemed like cheap insurance given the wider and more modern...

Re: another 85 M635Csi project

Round one complete...All new suspension bushings, bilsteins and staggered style 32's and tires...180 miles on it and so far so good. I was hoping the M series ride would be a bit more to the firm side but we'll see. A couple of issues. Steering is vague. Read that a box adjustment could help and the...

Re: 85 M635 and the Miller War Chip

Thanks for the wise comments :) Originally I bought the car with the idea of moving the motor/trans to an E9...but the car's to straight and solid to part up and they were a force of their time. I haven't gotten the car home yet but compression, leakdown and timing chains/gears look ok. I can't say ...

Re: What do you think the best looking rims are for the shark?

On my early Euro, I have 17x8 style 32 wheels. They are great looking wheels on a shark-- probably my favorite. From E39, will need hub-centering rings. Tire size 235/45/17 Hi Tschultz, Can I ask the offset on the front 32 wheels? Not my car but I do like the look. https://i.imgur.com/RuLjImT.jpg

Good Info, Thanks...I'm in the same place. Picked up a 1985 M635Csi. Originally for the motor/trans to drop in my CS but the car was to straight to part out. I'm keeping it and need to find out what I have. Serial number says S38 but its an m88 cover?
