ABS wiring diagram

I am nearing the end of a very long restoration and rebuild of my euro 1983 e24 635 and I am trying to get my shark through the MOT. It is currently having brake problems. I think I have managed to thoroughly bleed the brakes including getting air our of the ABS pump. I now need to sort the ABS out....

Re: E24 auto check system

I have ordered an adjustable resistor so that I can try and find the amp flow which triggers the check function for the rear lights and see if I can get it working the same as the brake lights. My 635 is quite smart being a total rebuild, but not concours and I suppose that quality of car would stay...

Re: E24 auto check system

Sorry I forgot to answer 633-dream regarding check functionality. My system is working with full check functionality. It is a question of finding the lowest total amperage that will satisfy the check system, but when the current from the led side fails the resultant current is reduced enough to acti...

Re: E24 auto check system

Thanks 633-dream and jlc. I had previously fitted a tow bar so I have a big chunk of steel running across the back panel of the car, an ideal place to screw the resistors to, but I agree take care and position your resistors to clear any heat safely. I haven't started on the rear side lights yet, bu...

Re: E24 auto check system

I said I would get back to you after trying a few things. I assumed that the check system was measuring current or (I), so I measured the current in the system for a normal filament bulb which for me was 1.7 amps. I then swapped to the LED bulb which gave me a measurement of 0.2 amp ( quite a big di...

Thank jlc. You have given me an idea. I shall try it and get back, fingers crossed I don't blow too many fuses.

Re: E24 auto check system

Thanks,I don't really want to add extra holders. Do you know if the check system is a current measuring system, or resistance measuring or something totally different. Are there any auto electricians who know how it is set up and how to get round it. I would like to travel without any warning lights...

E24 auto check system

I am trying to set up LED bulbs in my 1983 E24 euro, but I am having problems with the rear lights and Brake lights. I always get the warning signal on the dash and the red lights in the check panel whenever I try to use LEDs for those lights. The headlights, backup light and fog lights work fine wi...

Re: Starting after a long rebuild

Just a quick update on the fuel injectors. I spent time investigating yesterday. I haven't got my noid light kit yet, but I measured the resistance on all the injectors both new and old they were all around the 2.6-2.9 Ohms apart from one I got from China which was 15.4 Ohms. This was the Injector I...

Re: Starting after a long rebuild

I have ordered my noid light kit and will start testing when it arrives, however with the other new injector in place at No5 all other injectors are working with a spray pattern. The No 5 injector sadly is not. I will have to trace the problem and sort. Would it help to use a multimeter to check for ...

Re: Starting after a long rebuild

Thanks I will try that. I might come back to you to check on what a noid light is if i can't find out. If what you suspect is the case, is that a Harness thing or DME?

Starting after a long rebuild

Hi everyone I am hoping someone might be able to help me with my current problem. I am nearing the finish of a very long rebuild, just over 19 years. The engine is now in place with fuel lines and electrics all connected. All fluids in place. I initially had a problem of no spark, so replaced both o...

Re: door weatherstrips Front and rear window

Hi 635csisyd Thanks for the email sent through Bigcoupe.com. I tried sending an email back to confirm the costs but nothing would work and I definitely couldn't get access to a paypal payment system. Can I just check with you that the $355.00 us is for weather strip pack for $175.00 us, plus 4 lower...

Re: door weatherstrips Front and rear window

Hi do you still have these weather strips available? I would like a complete set, and what are your shipping costs to the UK please. I have an atlantic blue metalic 635 and have got back to rebuilding after 16 years. Where has the time gone. Cheers How do I go about ordering them?
