Re: Mystery spot in the toolkit box

Thank you gentlemen. I had assumed they had more than one plant during and after the war, makes perfect military sense. I have to disagree with the West German stuff not being that good as I have a scale for weighing your self. It's from the 70's retro art deco...cool. Still accurate as hell. =D> No...

Re: What do you think the best looking rims are for the shark?

Funky pussy Club LMFAO...sounds pretty smelly like it needs to be washed. It doesn't translate very well. Just a FYI from Nord Amerikanna. I though it was cool, and introduced a euro flavour no pun intended. \:D/ But yeah I don't think it needed to edited out we are all adult men here. [-X In a way ...

Re: OBC Removal to Install New LED Light Bar

I agree when I'm seated in mine the black is a carbon flat black, and the LED lit part is a pale orange, there is no bleed through. The black portion has a toxic liquid in it I forget now what it's actual constituents are but it is a liquid in between two thin glass frames if memory serves correctly...

L6 and 2002

This was a pretty neat little meet up this same colour and year 2002 was the first bimmer I ever drove when I was 17. My moms car 2002 she was trying to teach me how to drive a 5speed. She got too stressed out, But I did eventually get to drive it solo in my 30's. Funny thing happened on my way home...

Re: Stalling under load mystery?

Hello Brucey!! :D Thank you so much for the response brother! I really do appreciate it. Although Sonja is capable of toodling around town for a while, a short jaunt here, a small trip there. She is not at all up to her full potential, which being a 30+ year engine it never will be again. This would...

Re: Mystery spot in the toolkit box

Thanks, yes "Heyco" is on my all my tools, so there must have been a West German BMW plant, as well as a East German plant for BMW then I am assuming? Or was it just some production on either side a sort of division or a culmination of the two sides to produce our BMW's? I am just curious ...

Re: Stalling under load mystery?

No it is not running an after market alarm system, but it does have an aftermarket stereo and I did remove the OEM speaker fader switch/relay. I have been thinking about just reinstalling the fader switch. And there are only so many indie shops here. Allot of them are after the easy money, where the...

Stalling under load mystery?

Hey so I've put so much money into this problem, but to no avail. I know I'm playing parts lottery as Brucey calls it, but I've taken Sonja to three different BMW shops here and they can't diagnose the problem. So I am humbly asking your long standing wizardry, and collective consciousnesses for a s...

Re: Mystery spot in the toolkit box

I'm glad to see this topic being revisited, as I get closer to trying to complete mine. Thanks all. Is the center spot strictly for the folding hang down tab/anchor for the the kit itself or is there a fold-able safety triangle for that position as well? edit; my pipe wrench/pliers say "West Ge...

Re: What do you think the best looking rims are for the shark?

I still have a burning feeling... that only a good dose of TRX can heal! I am getting my TRX's bead blasted and painted up for summertime car shows. I still don't know why I really enjoy the look of the OEM TRX, maybe after I get them on and realize there are better looking OE rims. Until then I am ...

I agree, these are the ultimate driving machine. I installed a new shiny Bosch coil last week or so ago, and bought a metal oil cap for the valve cover.

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Bought a solar charger for battery top up. Plugs into the cigarette lighter. Also I gave her a good vacuum, prepping it up for carpet cleaning before I install the new carpets.
