That car is absolutely amazing. Stunning.
By the time I own my 635 for 30 years I will be close to 80, so I might be buried in mine as well...maybe we can have neighboring plots Bobbo?

Re: BMW E24 US front bumper tuck / lipo

Thanks for the reply - good reference.
I removed the US Bumpers from my car and in the process of fabricating my own brackets to mount a set of Euro bumpers, I hope to complete them in a few weeks.

I'm interested in: 1) The hazard switch with the little square plastic trim that comes with it. 2) The shift boot (if still available) 3) All the power window switches if you can confirm they work. 4) Right side amber blinker lens 5) Kidney grills if they are in good shape. I can Paypal the funds to...

Re: Early Euro e24 near Chicago - $4000 - Not mine

Lots of rust in the typical places, on the rear 1/4s behind the tail lights, random aftermarket wiring in the engine bay...might be worth it but due diligence needed for sure.

Upgrading An E12 Shifter (Bushings, Throw & Engagement) - Video

I recently replaced the sloppy shifter on my '79 CSi with the Ireland Engineering kit ($140) and it was straightforward. I was done in less than an hour and it is money well spent. The shifts and now crisp, a nice short throw and precise. I hope this video I shot helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: 1985 Euro 635 CSi for Sale

^^ Exactly. I estimate $17.5 to $20k on a BaT auction if all the maintenance is up to date and the car is as nice as it appears to be in the photos

Re: 1985 Euro 635 CSi for Sale

That car is a sweetheart! You should be able to sell it quickly, even though its not the best time with Turkeyday coming up and Christmas.

Give BaT a shot if you are willing, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Questioning My Sanity - E12 Oil Change

Guys - I think I just rivalled Joaquin's level of "loosing it" from the Joker! Crikey!!! Is it really that difficult to get the oil filter canister back on with that spring, filter flange and then line up the bolt? I fought it and fought it for 2+ hours! I ended having to take off the power steering...

The rear seats were re-done this week and re-installed this afternoon, they came out great. I kick myself for not taking a before picture, but they were bad. But look great now! https://scontent.fhou1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72687849_10157422657972209_5215853669181816832_o.jpg?_nc_cat=100&_nc_oc=AQ...

Re: New Leather For the '79 Euro - Pictures

And, the most important question, how many of those $ did you have to part with, if you don't mind divulging :-k Agree with Ken however, outstanding results =D> Typically its $750 per seat, to completely re-cover the leather on this '79. To give you an idea of magnitude of cost the front and rear s...
