Re: Heater Won't Blow Hot
the first thing I would do to check that the heater valve is signalled to be 'open' when you want it to be hot. With the ignition on the valve should click (not very loudly, you won't hear it inside the car) when the heater dial is turned between hot and cold. If this doesn't happen there is a faul...

Re: Very Little Heat to Passenger Area
Always suspect the heater valve, if you're satisfied there are no air pockets in the cooling system. The valve is fully open without voltage applied, so a quick test would be to unplug the harness at the valve and see if you're getting heat. If you are not, then the valve is likely bad. It is possib...

Re: Just registered.
Wow, both beautiful cars. On the E24, how long did it take you to restore it? Sorry for the late reply. For some reason I can't reply to this post on my iPad. It keeps telling me to log in when I'm already logged in. On my PC now. The resto took about 2 years. The car stood in the corner of my shop...

Also check fuse 17 (30A) and the K5 unloader relay. Power supply for the selector switch and the cluster is fed through that circuit.

Re: Just registered.
Bonus pic, a very nice e9 that belongs to a friend and client of mine. Came in for a little bit of setup, valve timing adjustment, valve clearance, ignition timing and synch the 3 sidedraught Webers........

Re: Just registered.
Photobucket started their shenanigans with blurring out the photos, unless you pay a monthly hosting fee. I have since migrated my photos to Imgur which seems to work well for me. I may re-post those Photobucket ones.

Re: Just registered.
M88 head, with a E34 3.6L valve cover, shortened 7mm to fit. Done to be able to use direct ignition. Would you mind showing how you laid out the COP's under the E34 cover? Or more accurately, where did you shorten the E34 cover to make it fit. I’ll have to take some photos of the underside of the v...

Re: Just registered.
Thanks :) When I pulled the motor and transmission, I did not expect that I would embark on such an in depth build. I basically wanted to refresh the drivetrain after many years of slumber. The more I looked, the more things I found that bothered me. A new timing chain had been rolled in, without re...

Figured out the attachment thing, rather than having to use Photobucket with their ugly watermark.

Just registered.
Occasional lurker here and decided to register. This is my '85 M635Csi that I brought back from basket case status, with a few tasteful mods. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v157/alank/DSC_0397_zpsaxqphuoc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BjTz5dH.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qZU951a.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Nzl...
