Re: Strong exhaust fumes smell

Thanks! Then that is what I will buy.
I must say I had a strong preference towards Bosch already.

Yes, that is most likely what is happening to my car as well! Hope it solves the issue.
That and a new cat.

Thanks [-o<

Re: Strong exhaust fumes smell

I want to buy a new lambda sensor.
Does anybody know which brand is most suitable to buy?

OEM is € 180,00
There are many alternatives, starting at € 25,00 to € 125,00
Many brands (Bosch, Magneti Marelli, NGK and a lot of unknown brands)

Re: New shoes for M6

I have exactly the same Style 32 wheels on my late model Shark.
I do like them very much, they are high quality and looking good to my opinion, especially on the later models E24.

Re: What Oil do you Use in your 6'er

I do the same as Phil, use a quality 15W40 oil.
In my case I use the Kroon Classic mineral oil, developed for classic engines.

If I would buy a complete new stainless system, I would buy a Supersprint.

Re: Loose side mirror

I didn't make a photo of it and am now not able to access it as I glued back the plastic cap.

The locking screw is where I marked the green cross.
Drilled a hole through the housing and the bolt and tapped M3 thread in it. Then secured it with a small M3 screw.

Re: Loose side mirror

I managed to fix it guys. :D I did not remove the mirror glass. I only opened the small plastic cap between the base and the mirror. This cap has a very thin edge that you can break with a few moves back and forth. I later mounted it with super glue; it is barely visible. The problem was that the bo...

Did you look for the Laufzettel?
This is a paper which they put under the back seat during production.
It contains some the information you are looking for.

Re: Loose side mirror

Thanks, that is exactly what I am facing now. I rotated the bolt as well but no luck.
Before buying another one I want to give it a try to fix it.
Anybody knows how to remove the mirror glass without damaging it?

Re: Loose side mirror

Thanks, I did remove the cap and see the pivot. I am a bit scared to damage the wires though.
I will take the mirror off the car to try.
Thanks.

Re: Loose side mirror

Thanks for your reply Bert.
I'm not sure, it looks like it is loose on the top.
I would assume I would have to get in there through the mirror itself by taking out the glass.

Loose side mirror

Guys, all was good yesterday and today all of a sudden my side mirror is loose. It was a bit loose before a short ride today and after a ride it became extreme loose (see video).
How could I fix this in the best way without breaking stuff?
Thanks!

I can confirm that Phil is a great person and the Highline is in fantastic condition. The contacts we have had were great. He is a generous and helpful person, an enrichment for this forum and society.
