WTB :: Rear Parcel Shelf

Needed for a project car. This is for a Lama car, but anything light in color can be redyed. The most important thing is that it isn't cracked to oblivion and the carpet is still carpet, not ash! Let me know if you're selling - shipping to Portland, OR.

Re: Slow burn 645CSi build

Quick update, it's been running for a while now. Turned out to be the 'ol CTS resistor hack had gone bad. The car is still a little jerky under medium throttle. Tires don't rub, and it feels great on those tires despite needing a suspension refresh. I am getting impatient while I work through some o...

Re: Removal of auto transmission cooler pipes from the gearbox end.

FYI, I ran into this issue with my e28: The current replacement hose from BMW uses a newer style connector at the transmission meaning you have to use an adapter. Which decreases the amount of clearance you have in there to a nearly nearly unacceptable degree. Real knuckle buster. In hindsight, migh...

FS: Open Sideloader Diff 3.07

Came out of a '79 635CSi, turns freely. 3.07 based on 40/13=3.0769, and I believe this is a large case diff? Ralph, can't wait to check this out. You used the ETM to find the CTS input to the DME?

Would be great if it wasn't a mystery over pressure situation.

'83 633CSi - running so rich it stalls

Grasping at straws for a solution here, hoping the collective can help. At the beginning of lockdown I sent out my injectors to get rebuilt as I was chasing an on-throttle jerky acceleration issue. I had eliminated the common culprits and thought what the heck, I'll do the injectors. Fastforward to ...

Re: Slow burn 645CSi build

Can't wait to see if they rub, but you've put my mind at ease. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out why it's running so rich won't really run. Wet plugs, smoke, stalling. I just replaced my injectors, and now this! Weird coincidence for the FPR to fail. I was running a 3.0 bar FPR (accidentally...

Re: 1985 635CSi - Crank, no start problem

Sweet! Hopefully you found the problem. The OBC computer/relay is separate from the ECU, and is most likely located under driver side dash. I wouldn't replace the main relay quite yet, but a spare is a good thing to have with you on the road. The humming is most likely the idle control valve working...

Stole my thunder!!!! If the car starts w/30 jumpered to 87's, try bypassing the OBC relay, might be the culprit :lol:

Will it run with the main relay jumpered, pin 30 to both pins 87? I have a one-into-two spade connector wire doo-hickey I made in the glovebox for emergencies.

Carrying on where this thread stops: http://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=31339 Back in the fall I picked up a pair of e24's, a '79 euro 635CSi with the 2.8 in it and a ton of issues, and a crusty but rust free '83 633CSi (sorry for the redundant pics): https://www.dropbox.com/s/o8tnk...

WTB :: Black interior

I'm playing a long game here I think, but I'm on the hunt for a black interior for a e28 based 6 series. I'm looking to source a black interior, the beige in the car is wrecked, and I don't like beige anyway. I'm looking for door panels and handles, carpet, parcel tray, speaker pods, console, manual...

Re: Two Sixers, what to do!

Quick update: life is busy, not much progress. Hopefully going to replace the injectors this weekend, I'm still chasing a surging under throttle. I have a lead on a second euro front bumper but with the non-fog air dam, which will be ideal for hiding an air-to-water intercooler. Hope everyone's hang...

Re: Two Sixers, what to do!

The ‘83 got a working FPR, CTS, fuel filter, and valve adjustment this weekend and is running much better. This is on top of plugs, wires, cap and rotor, TPS adjustment. My new spark plugs were gunky with burnt residue, I’m hoping that was from running incredibly rich, and not rings or valve seals.....

Re: Two Sixers, what to do!

So the ‘79 is gone, I am still working on posting what I pulled for sale. Sadly I was mistaken, it’s an open diff. However, I sourced a M102 from a member with the generous help of another. I’m planning a turbo build, a slow burn as time and space allow. The engine, euro bumpers, a black interior, a...
