Thanks cream, interesting site

Lots of '02 stuff, and I mean lots

As you duly noted, they currently only make 7", not sure if I'm a fan of that "KW" embossed in the cover, however :-k

'82 633 parts car, no affiliation...

Gents, just saw this in Craig's List, oh, not me, I'm not looking for anything #-o https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/pts/d/bmw-e24-633csi-parts/6573281618.html Appears to be the "bastard" year, MY82, based on the engine shot showing Motronic, but early door cards, etc. No affiliation [-X

Re: Brake calipers question

Thanks

The caliper paint has held up very well, can't say the same for the rotors, which of course have rusted where the pads do not contact them

Good luck with your project, please post pix when she's complete [-o<

Re: Question / Picture refer for A/C Drier

Not sure if this will help, but you can see in this photo, the drier is held in place by a hoop type bracket, secured to the inner fender well, again this is vintage 1980 :-k Also, here's a link to realoem, might want to take a look there for the MY you are trying to figure out 8) http://www.realoem...

Re: Brake calipers question

I think the E28 calipers (front and rear) are only single piston floating type :-? But looking at your rebuild photos of the rear, I can now see that those are indeed E12 calipers, which are actually 2 piston fixed type =D> Bottom line, the correct kit should have a total of 6 lines for the E12 chas...

MrCouch, what year 6er are you working on :-k

Most likely makes a difference, my '80 does have a bracket that holds the drier in place :-?

Scott, thanks for looking =D>

I do want to address this sooner than later, but since I'm technically "off the road" right now, awaiting tags, I can hold off [-(

I need a few other bits and pieces, maybe I'll just order a film kit from BavAuto as well :-k

Re: Brake calipers question

That doesn't sound right, fanatic [-X

The E12 front brakes are 4 piston fixed calipers, but the E28 does not =;

Dang, thought you could see the 2X lines going to the caliper in this photo, but you can see the 2 rigid/fixed pipes

Think I would continue your search :-({|=

Re: Is it really worth the $? Reverse light switch

Thanks all, pretty much agree going with FAE =D>

Dug, not leaking, that I know of, just don't have any reverse lights and it's not likely that both bulbs took a header [-X

Think I'll go safe and order new Ralph, again for $6 plus shipping, just not worth screwing with used :-k

Is it really worth the $? Reverse light switch

Gents, opinions please on the drastic difference in the price for a genuine BMW reverse light switch, versus FAE, whoever they are :-k

Really, $6 or $33 #-o

In fact, maybe I should just check with Ralph in SoCal, he's probably got a bag of these \:D/

Hey Tommy, thought of that, but I really wonder how well those film type protectors work, if you actually take a direct hit with a rock :-k Do you have a particular brand or shop that you purchased them from :-?
