Re: Another one bit the dust

Just received an email from BavAuto this morning, with the following text: >>After 45 wonderful years, Bavarian Autosport closed its doors on Friday, March 8th. In the interest of looking after our customers and carrying on Bavarian Autosport’s proud commitment to BMW and Mini enthusiasts, we reache...

Shit, that would be a LOT of dirt to need that much room #-o

But I bought the Chemical Guys version, works as advertised and does fit one of my buckets all the way to the bottom =D>

I won't be washing a vehicle any other way from now on

Hey DV8OR, don't have an answer to your question, but as a board moderator, I am going to move your thread to the Interior section, where you will likely get more responses [-o<

Good luck on your quest \:D/

Re: e12 based hvac question (fan control)

Carl, the microswitch is item No. 25 in the diagram above [-o< IIRC, this switch just completes the ground circuits to either the heater or A/C blower, interesting setup :-? From what I also recall, neither blower should be actually "blowing" air unless the rotary fan speed dial is turned :-k HTH \:D/

I wonder if Mario Langston at VSR1 has any idea, at least he's in NH and also runs a BMW shop :-?

Just a thought, still a shame :(

I agree though, that printing and mailing out glossy paper catalogs is a bit of a thing in the past [-X

Re: 1981 633 CSI Revival and Refresh

Hmm, rear end clunking :-k Couple of thoughts, based on your comment that you only hear it when the clutch engages the driveline :-? I would check the condition of the center bearing and universal joints in the driveshaft for play or other issues [-( I would also inspect the diff mount, known to cra...

I don't know about that linky (didn't go to BavAuto, went to Outlook...) but that would be very bad news indeed

I too have used them for many years, probably 30+ as well, back when they were called Bavarian Auto Service

WTB - front hub for use to make a hose reel

Hey guys, I've still got a stack of old 14" 20-spoke wheels and thinking about making a hose reel outa one of them, I kid you not #-o But since I want it to turn so that can easily spin it to wrap up the garden hose, I think I'll need a front hub :-k Not sure how I'm gonna mount it or anything, gues...

You can try Metric Mechanic, long time engine and tranny rebuilders =D>

http://metricmechanic.com/flywheel-clutch/

While they mention lightened flywheels and core deposits, this is a fairly small outfit, so they will be more than willing to work with you [-o<
