Re: 30 years ago, Bobbo bought the green shark, sight unseen

Here's an old shot of the '77 with my nephew who was about 3 years of age at the time =D>

Guess he's around 35 now :-({|=

Amazing how "pedestrian" this example looks like compared to the green shark :-"

Re: Drive 4 Corners - non-sanctioned BMW meet

That would be quite the haul for me from NorCal there, Andy :-?

Have thought many times about trying to make this event, and maybe one of these years I will [-o<

Alas, not gonna happen this year :(

Hope you guys pull it off \:D/

Andy, what's up with Tom :-k

He's been running the show since I can recall, everything OK up there [-o<

FWIW, I'd be surprised if this event is held :(

We haven't cancelled Pacific Sharkfest yet, but will likely face the reality that it won't happen this year either ](*,)

Don, thanks for that link, great story =D>

It's very cool that BMW still lets people special order colors and whatnot \:D/

And I can see where price comparisons would lead you away from a 320i :-?

Hope we can do a meet and/or day drive soon [-o<

Isn't that a S1 centre console amongst all the S2 bits?

Re: Rear tail light lens gasket

Gents, thanks for the replies, managed to snag a used one from Andy (Mo Brighta), used, but then, so is the green beast #-o FWIW, it's not a continuous loop however, although these are known to be a bit on the fragile side and often "disconnect" when removing the lens :-? Are you referring to the freeze plugs :-k

These would be in the block, pressed in and would pop out should you have water instead of coolant in the engine, if the water froze :-({|=

So they could presumably rust as well :-"

So I'm checking out why I don't have reverse lights, certainly easier to check the bulbs first before getting under the car to swap out the switch in the tranny, although it's very unlikely that both bulbs would be blown :-k I pull the left hand side lens and notice quite a bit of dirt accumulated, ...
