Dang, you bag her for the winter  Sux that you guys have to go through this, but much of the states also deals with "real" winter, Canada, I guess lots of other places in the world does as well :-? Driving our beloved 6ers is year round here in CA, provided it's not raining

Smog test prep reveals heat related damage and deferred maintenance
Yes, I will once again try to go through a "legal" smog test, which up until a few years ago was not a problem, until the glorious state of CA decided to fail me due to non-CARB compliant headers  What started as a simple check of the air filter and checking out the spark plugs, I...

Re: FREE M10 copper lock nuts for exhaust manifolds
Darn Bert, I thought you were gonna take them off my hands
Well, I ran the P/N in realoem and it turns out that they are for attaching the downpipes to the manifolds, amongst other locations
So 12 would be more than enough to get that job done

Re: Rear window only goes down, never up
You might want to try cleaning the switch itself
After working on my passenger side motor, the window was still slow moving
But cleaning the switch with a quality electronic contact cleaner, it moves up and down as it should, now

Tommy had a reinforcement done on his '89 in the rear after we added bigger bars
Well, one side, I think, as the right hand side would require removing the fuel tank, but so far, so good, IIRC

That doesn't sound correct, the later series 2 cars have bigger/wider fender flares than the series 1 versionLooks like (1) PN from 77-89
Not doubting you, but realoem isn't always correct
