Thanks Dug =D> Yeah, I talked to Pat (organizer...) and he told me that we are not getting a room rate discount, and the block of rooms will be held till September [-o< My advice would be to just book a room, you can always cancel, probably within a 72 hour period :-k Looks like I'm getting off "che...

Re: Auxiliary Fan - Again

Hiya Bert, It would be interesting to hear how the add-on system works, once you get the car running and start sorting the details [-o< My guess is that the aux fan system will be the same as a US car with factory installed A/C, which would therefore incorporate the dual fuse block to protect those ...

Hey Ken, I don't think they were offering the 5.75" version just yet, but you can check the website :-k

FWIW, I like the look I have now much better than the plastic bubble covers =D>

Looking side by side, even the missus agreed

Re: Auxiliary Fan - Again

As usual, Brucey has very good points, but I would check the little fuse block that is exclusive for the aux fan :-k I'm not sure where in the grand scheme of things the fuse block is electrically speaking versus the relays, but I'm guessing it's before :-? This photo is from an earlier car so the l...

OK, so I went the "Xpel" route (thanks Andy =D> ) and installed the clear film covers, which, by the way, are anything but film :-? First off, they are thick, perhaps 1 mm or more :-k Second, they are flat, which of course does not lend itself very well to adhering to a curved surface [-X If anybody...

Paying it forward - the story of the traveling AFM

Gents, now this is how to do it, a real feel good story =D> Those who follow various threads should recall this one, Rainer (Hefeweisen) had running issues which he eventually diagnosed as a bad AFM, and requested one on the board. Here's a shot for ya with the engine out of the car, just a bit easier to see the big but faint "L", which is in fact on the raised water jacket :-k

Can't see the "3.5" but I think that was cast into the raised water jacket as well :-?
