What year car did you run those on? Tire size used? And any pics of them on the car?

Thanks, keep us informed.

I was interested in the silver carpet set if it still gets parted and you're game.

Thanks,

Hartge or Racing Dynamics? I remember RD springs being green like that.

I'm sure I could ship overseas. Much more trouble than shipping in general?
Would the cost make it prohibitive for you?

FS: 17" Staggered Alpinas

Shown on my 79 E12/E24, but are really intended for fitment on E28/E24 chassis. Clean, undamaged, little curb rash on edge of one. Good recent Conti's. Prefer local, as would rather sell with tires mounted. Will help out delivery within couple hours drive. 8.5x17 ET12, 235/45-17 9.5x17 ET24, 245/45-...

Was that antenna mounted in the front fender or rear?
I might well be interested if other fellow isn't. Getting tired of rebuilding old electric Hirschmanns!

Frankly, based on the evidence here, you are not "in an argument", you started an argument! His responses are actually quite reasoned, considering your opening salvo. Has he given you the VIN to check? No, but are you really going to look at the car to buy? Is it a 79? Looks pretty doubtfu...

E12 L-Jet Cruise Control

How does the cruise control work on the earlier L-Jetronic cars. I've looked at the parts diagrams and see where the system gets it's speed info (speedo cable trigger), but can't see how it controls the throttle. Also wondering, was there a mechanical reason why it was not available on manual trans ...

I've taken the pan off without hoisting engine or dropping subframe before.
Follow the manual and get the crank in the right position and there is clearance to slide it forward and out. May have to put pressure on the engine from below with a floor jack (motor mounts have compressed over time).

I'd like to see a picture of the "proper" tool. The picture in the manual is small and grainy.

Although in the end, almost all pullers/presses are about the same, just a matter of the inner and outer diameters being just right. I can usually manage with a variety of pipe nipples washers.

I would think you're paying a large premium to be able to say you have a genuine Alpina motor which, in that generation, is all just mild internals and a careful quality build. It's a nicely done naturally aspirated M30 that MM or any good shop could build you without that Alpina premium for the sak...

That sounds like a good method, too. My recent experience: It comes out with a big screw driver in the hole and a twist off to the side to pop it out. I spent forever trying to figure out right size pipe nipples to make a puller to get it out, and then someone said just put a screwdriver in the midd...
