Re: M90 v M30 - again!
Thanks Brucey... extensively detailed, informative and right on target as always. Mine is a January '82 build and I am keen to keep the existing motor in the car, so a transplant is not on the radar. And chassis, suspension and brakes are all pretty well sorted for the moment too. In summary... I'm ...

Re: M90 v M30 - again!
Thanks GazM3... all good points. I do know of the guys at Willall Racing... but not sure of their classic BMW knowledge. Might call & discuss. It is a weekend cruiser that's had everything underneath done including suspension, rubbers, brakes & drive shafts. Some existing mods including a bi...

M90 v M30 - again!
Hello group... long time no post, and apologies for dragging this topic up again. The time has finally come to refresh / rebuild the engine in my 1982 Euro 635 with the famous/infamous M90 (with early Motronic). My concern has always been finding someone here in little old Adelaide who knows about t...

Hi Addam... yeah, how's that parts order for the trim bits coming along? I'd also be interested in those extractors as I'm chasing a set as well, but for the earlier M90 engine with a B34 head. Will the ones he makes fit or would he have to make up a set specially? And I'm also in need of part #1 in...

Ah yes... there's always one bloody comedian in the bunch! I was actually trying to ascertain if there was much difference clearance-wize in the rear wheel well / strut / wheel arch between to the two off-sets. I'm thinking it's a tight fit and I wanted to see how tight. But go on, have a good laugh...

Hi Bob / Brad... I'm interested in how close your rims at the front run to the strut? I'm running 17 x 8's all round with ET 15, and they are sooooo close to the front strut/spring perch I can hardly squeeze my little finger in between them. I'm looking at a different set of rims which are ET 20 &am...

Full set of side mouldings needed...
Hi group... well the search is on in earnest. As per another post, I thought I'd see if I can source a full LH & RH set of side mouldings as per parts #1, 2, 3 & 4 on the attached diagram via the egroup. Obviously I need them in good condition, otherwise the exercise is probably not worth it...

G'day GripGreg... yep, they're real cars... or I should say one real car. And nothing so complicated as Photoshop... just the same photo of my car and I just opened one in Paint and painted out the moudlings. Same car... same photo... just with the help of a bit of modern technology! :D Thanks for t...

Hi group... as part of my repairs and repainting, the questions of with or without side mouldings came up. As a full set of mouldings for both is an expensive exercise with the LHR section no longer available, I was discussing with the panel beater the possibility of removing them all together for a...

Clear indicator lenses
Hi group...
Anybody know if those clear front indicator (turn signal) lenses are still available somewhere?
Interested in a set for early E12 based Euro.
Thanks in advance...

LH front arm rest mount needed
Hi group... I had this in the Interior section, and it should have been here! Doh! #-o I'm chasing the LH top arm rest mount - #1 in the attached diagram for early E12 based Euro 6. I think the colour I'm chasing is actually Pearl Beige, but I can colour match the part if I have to as I did it for t...

LH front arm rest part needed...
Hi group... and so the search begins. I'm chasing the LH top arm rest mount - #1 in the attached diagram for early E12 based Euro 6. The co-driver hung on so tightly he pulled the mount in two! I think the colour I'm chasing is Parchment, but I can colour match the part if I have to as I did it for ...
