Re: RHD M635 Register

Welcome Mumbaipete,

Ron has said everything you need to know about your car. Your car is not an M635 but it's still a lovely 635 Motorsport edition.

Best of luck with it.

Re: Arctic Blue RHD M635

In the video he says that the car has done 73,000 miles.

An MOT history check shows that the car had done 73,336 in 2010.

The car now has 78,000 miles and is on SORN so this seems perfectly reasonable.

Re: UK M635CSi #500 fs on eBay

I wonder is this the car. Posted on ML's facebook page during the week. Apparently it will be for sale soon with them. The ad does say that the car is being driven down to a marque specialist in Sussex for inspection and discussion about sale. https://scontent.fdub4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/36503219...

Re: The last M635 CSi

Hi Ellis, I was wondering when one of the original thread responders from 2008 would chime in. Good to see you are still posting. Sad to see that a number of original members are no longer active. Glad you got your seat belt stems sorted. I seem to remember that I had similar problems when ordering ...

Re: The last M635 CSi

Hi Guys, Thanks for the replies and the kind words. The driving fun is over for the moment, the car has been declared off the road until her 30th birthday, which is March 2019, due to very high road taxes here in Ireland. When she is 30 (vintage), everything becomes a lot cheaper. Don......Yes it wo...

Re: WTB : BMW Flywheel part no. 11221271463 M30 Engine

Yes.... When I collected the car off mechanic no.2, I asked him to point out the fuse which he replaced. He was fairly sure it was fuse no 11. I checked the owners manual and this is the fuse for the fuel pump. Now...the car was not delivering fuel or spark. I can understand why there was no fuel bu...

That's gorgeous!!

Platanen green is an extremely rare colour and looks great IMO.

It looks to have a few issues alright but definitely worth putting right if it could be bought for the right money.

Re: The last M635CSI

Thread revival!! After 11 years of ownership and 10 years since I posted on this thread, it's time for an update. I am updating this thread as I have recently been reacquainted with this car. I have been living/working abroad for the last 6 years, and in that time the car has been sitting in my gara...

It puzzeled me also Ralph. Mechanic no.2 still has the car. He is doing a few other jobs. I am picking up the car in a few days so I will investigate further and see if he can pinpoint which fuse he replaced. Yeah, when I went looking I was surprised how expensive flywheels were and how hard they we...

Re: WTB : BMW Flywheel part no. 11221271463 M30 Engine

You are determined for me to embarrass myself on a public forum. Well OK here goes. The problem was a non starting M635. The engine was turning but no spark or fuel. We checked the fuses and replaced relays and all looked good. This then led us to change the ECU and crank shaft sensors. Lucki...

Hi guys, Many thanks Ralph,Tschultz and Brickwhite for you replies. Apologies Ralph that I am only getting back to you now, I have been a little distracted trying to get this problem solved. I had a non running car with some very hard to diagnose symptoms which lead us to a problem with the flywheel...

Thanks guys,

The flywheel is for an M88 engine.

Real OEM says that the same flywheel was used on the 635, 633, 735 engines.

Re: #409 in UK £65K!

I think dealers just put up a price and see who bites, it will be very interesting to see if it sells quickly and for how much. I do think prices are on the rise though. Interesting that the new owner of the £100,000 car is not worried about putting miles on it and letting it age. Here is the articl...

Re: #409 in UK £65K!

Here is the updated advertisement. In fairness, it's a stunning looking car. It needs to lose the M6 badges though......it's not an M6, it's an M635CSi. The sill and door trims are not correct either, they should be chrome and not shadowline. Some of the chrome pieces are now NLA for the E28 based c...

Re: #409 in UK £65K!

That's a nice looking car. I think Royal Blue looks very well on an E24. From memory it's a fairly high mile car but has had a lot of work done to it. It's an optimistic price, It will be interesting to see what it eventually sells for. I'm not going to knock the price as I feel E24 M's have been un...

You could be right. Sold a second time for £11,550. Strong money for a total rebuild project car. The parts aren't worth half that assuming the engine isn't seized. It made more money than the first auction. Will we see it up for auction a third time. It's a brave man that would bid on that car sigh...

Market manipulation has the classic car market in the state it's in. Some poor fool is going to pay way over the odds for both of those cars.
