Overall they are identical, fit-wise. Both end up flush with the face of the wheel.

Obviously you come to a stop before you move the steering wheel on the splines. :)

Re: Anyone ever tried Ryken tires?

I had a set on my E30, and, although they were pretty good on dry pavement, they were absolutely treacherous in the wet. They would snap loose at the slightest provocation. I'd go with the Falkens.

Re: Programa SI Board Install Issues

Have you tapped the brakes and then pushed the reset/test button on the light test panel? That _should_ extinguish the orange triangle. Can't help with the tach other than suggest the connection is bad. I believe the tach is driven by one of the single wires that plug into the cluster.

I had a C.T. scan Monday, and a follow-up with the doctor yesterday. I got about as wonderful a report as I could hope for: no sign of cancer, come back in 6 months. After three years of scans and no reoccurrence they'll consider me cancer free. \:D/

Running hot at idle/traffic light stop/stop-and-go traffic is a sign the fan clutch is failing.

Just a guess, but like many "reality" shows, they are shot out of sequence to the broadcast schedule. Show 4 may well have been the first one completed. :-k

Do you have a LHD or RHD car? "Drivers side" is relative.

Re: 1988 M6 for sale

The show is "Chasing Classic Cars". Wayne Carini is the gentleman that owns F-40 Motorsports and does the "chasing". I was disappointed in that episode because unlike 90% of the cars he gets, he wasn't shown driving this one after his shop crew got it running.

Re: Gonna be gone for a while

The roller-coaster ride continues: I was rebounding, getting an appetite, getting some strength back, when I started having chills and fever again. When I got delerious Saturday night my wife called the ambulance. Good thing she did. My blood sugar and blood pressure had crashed and I had a temp of ...

Re: Gonna be gone for a while

I am getting much better. Got my appetite back after losing 88 pounds. Started doing some small jobs around here, like plumbing repairs (which I absolutely loathe, but it was a 'have to' situation), and changed the water pump on my daughter's Pontiac. That's the good news....the sad new is my younge...

Re: Whos e24 has a broken odometer? Odometer gears here!

I've installed Garagistic gears in 4 E30s and 2 E24s with no difficulty, and all worked perfectly, first try. To be honest I've never used Odometer Gears products. I'm sure they are excellent.

Re: What do you think the best looking rims are for the shark?

You will not only need spacers (10mm or so) but you'll need them to be hubcentric for front AND rear. The style 42s have a hub bore of 74.1 instead of the E24 standard 72.56

Re: OBC Removal to Install New LED Light Bar

LED light is polarized. It shines brighter in one plane than another, although it may appear to shine equally in all directions to the naked eye. The liquid crystal in the display is polarized, also. That's why the illumination appears stronger/better at certain angles. Incandescent bulb light such ...

Run it a while as-is. My 633 smoked like a tar pot when awakened from it's lengthy slumber, but a couple cycles of soaking the cylinders with ATF and changing the oil, the rings finally loosened and sealed.

The "stance"crowd has done that and worse. Try 185s on 8" wheels. #-o Possibly the dumbest idea ever.

Re: 1984 633 CSi Erratical idling

When that same ground strap was accidentally left loose after a valve adjustment on my 633, it wouldn't run. The nut was finger tight. After tightening with a 10mm wrench, it ran as it did before the adjustment. That ground is more critical than most realize.
