Excellent article! I just went throw all process one week ago, when I decided to switch US lenses for the late type (88-89). The nuts on left one (close to battery) were totally rusted and bolts started to turn into the housing. I left it and carefully unbolted right turn signal, removed US reflecto...

Toronto 6-ers! Classic cars auction next week!

It's a semi-annual event in Toronto West, a lot of interesting cars if not to buy, but to look on.

And, as usual, one or more e24 for sale, check the car list.

Bigcoupe.com and its message board is not only a great source of information for me, but also a place where I can discuss 6-er related staff with other addicts, who I would probably never meet in everyday life otherwise. Without being confident in combined expertise of you all I would never purchase...

BTW, when I got my car, the owner told me "it's my baby, all original here" and he was damn right, even control arms bushings were dated "1986". The original headlights rusted out, and I was lucky that there was no original tires.

It's a great looking car, josecoy. I can only imagine, how much work and $$$ was spent on it, since today I put in Excel table my car expenses (only parts); after less than 1 year after I got it it's almost the same money that I paid for the car itself. And my car is not even close looking to yours....

It may be easier just to get the steering wheel in better shape. The average price on eBay is about $40-60. If you had an airbag, obviously it's have to be fine splin. If you'll decide to change for MOMO, get those adapters: MOMO 2005 for coarse splin, MOMO 2006 for fine splin. You can have them from cardomain.com, a little bit pricey, but available. Try to check out other sites also. http://www.cardomain...

One correction (from personal experience): I would not recommend to use 1/8" NPT thread plug, when I did, it was leaking after installation like hell, I ended up with retapping it for 10 mm thread and using 10 mm bolt with crush washer. http://www.cscoupe.org/tech/gauges/drawing.jpg Beside this, the...
