I'm also having smelly gas issues. In my case, the tank was off to repair the differential. It looked good except for some exterior Bakersfield dirt, so, it was re-installed. The three hoses were replaced along with the vapor tank next to the filler cap, but not the hose from the small vapor tank do...

Folding Inner Fender Well Lip On My Six

Please correct me if I'm going down the wrong road. I just found out my over size rear tires are being cut by the inner lip when I go through a dip in the intersection, even at reasonable speed. Not every time, but, who needs this problem? Being stock & protruding too far for no reason, I went to Ha...

Thanx Brucey Although, I'm not sure of what you mean by, "space it out", concerning the rear lower shock mounts. Don't forget, for the front situation; the front stock springs will be cut to lower the car 2 inches. I'm gonna tap up the rear upper, inner fender roll in the rear fender wells, to make ...

RLAYNE
I'm interested in your carpet, if you can keep it in decent shape; and your gearshift lever down to the ball joint if it's the screw on knob type only.
I'm tired of the slip-on type of knob coming off during a semi-speed shift.

Thanx, Chris. I replaced the hoses you mentioned. I, also replaced the vapor canister & tightened the part that makes the gas nozzle receiver smaller. It was loose. The hose to the canister is in good shape. So, I hope I have nothing left but the gasket with the six holes in it for, I guess, six bol...

Thanx Hazunga & everyone. After a lil more thought; I know I already have an E12 manual 'cause I have 3 E12's to try & maintain. So, I'll hold off with the E-24 manual. Right now I need to lose the fuel smell from the trunk/boot. Am I right in thinking there's a flat rubber washer with six holes tha...

Anti-Freeze Fragrance

Thanx for inviting me. I have an '82 Euro 635, build date of 9/81, sold as an '82. Since I bought it, a coupla months ago, I've noticed a slight anti-freeze odor during the morning warm-up. Sometimes during the day after sitting for an hour. What could be the cause of this? Also, the carpet is a lil...
