Re: Anyone know exact markings to add side repeaters?

I drilled each corner and then used a rotary saw/ grinding wheel to get the required size. Another way is to chain drill it.

I will try to get some measurements from one of my old wings and make some form of templates.

Re: Anyone know exact markings to add side repeaters?

I had to take the dimensions from my old wings but, unfortunately, I didn't write them down. Have you not got the old wings?

It's a special order (Sonderlackierung sp?) in Blue Black metallic. To me it looks really similar to Diamond Schwarz
I had an M 635 in that colour. The only one in the UK. I sold it about 2 years ago to a guy who had a new she'll that he

wanted to put all the parts in.

Re: Door Loom Rubber Boot

They are not in the ETK. They come complete with the loom which is probably NLA!

Major job to replace as one end of the loom has to have all the multi plugs removed. I have all the required pin extractors

but no good concertina boots.

I had the same problem Ian. With a bit of juggling I fitted the belt to the compressor before bolting it to the engine.

I think it took 3 hands!

To use the license plates in the UK the car would need a MOT (which I think is an impossibility, without spending a fortune)!

Can't believe it's nearly £500 already.

Re: Help Identifying a Mystery Part

It's the bracket for the bottom of the bonnet strut. On the M the nearside (L/H) strut bracket fits on top of the wing (normally spot-welded) and the offside (R/H) bracket is spot-welded to the inner wing. #21 below is L/H. #18 is the R/H. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... Prise (gently) the cover over the chrome ring and it then slides off the bolt head.

I've always got mine from Germany as I was unable to find the correct bolts in the UK. BBS will not supply to the public and they say that the bolts are a "one-time" use only! http://www.titanium-touch.de/produkte.php?page=felgenschraube You want these in black:- http://www.titanium-touch.de/produkt...

These are the 3 piece metric wheels originally supplied with the M635. They were all withdrawn and scrapped (some escaped), as BMW couldn't get them to seal properly! They re-issued the one piece metric wheel as a replacement. I managed to get a set of 5 in pieces from various sources and totally re...

Re: M6 radio mounting

You need one of these mounting brackets. There are various types depending on the head unit. It has bendable tabs on all 4 sides to hold it in your radio slot and the head unit fits into it. You then need radio removal tools (check ebay) to remove the head unit from the mounting cage. P1020606.JPG P...
