Install a new Lemforder Differential mount. My car had the original mount, cracked and rock hard. The car sat a little higher with the new mount as the rubber was not compressed.

Re: Car covers - what brand do you have ?

I have a NOAH fabric from BavAuto. Fits snug and the customer service is great. They are a sales agent for Covercraft. I also bought a Stormproof made by Coverking from Autoaccessories garage. Fit was way too snug and it didn't reinforce critical area around the bottom of the bumpers.

What about air shocks? I still run standard shocks on my 84 633 so I do not have any experience with them.

Just awful news. I was going to visit him later this month as I knew he was in the hospital. My sincere condolences to his family. One of our last PMs he mentioned his list of to-do's so he clearly had a positive outlook in spite of his medical difficulties. Here's an obituary: https://newtownbee.co...

I wonder if a leatherique treatment would have helped the reinstall process. I have also seen a plastic shopping bag used between the leather and the padding as a "slip sheet"

Molex makes a variety of multiprong male/female connectors. See the post on bimmerforums: I found a Molex "Plug Housing with Integrated Seal- Valueseal" Numbers 172877-0002 and 172878-0002 which can be bought through Digikey. Molex has great product drawings. Only question is how the wire is fixed t...

The wheels are marked 6-1/2J x 14H2 BMW22. The winter tires (haven't used them ever) are Michelin X FR78-14 M&S. Am having a problem with one tire that the tire place said is "corrosion on the bead". Although they said they fixed it, the problem (3 weeks later) is now worse than ever. Tomorrow I wil...

What did you do to replace the rotted muffler? I have a similar (but not so severe) condition. I will have my local muffler shop try to weld that gap. Alternative two is JB Weld or similar. Last solution will be a replacement rear which would not be OEM
