Re: Style 5's sit way too far in wheel well.....

Here's my LOCUTUS with RC090s. Looking to possibly fit spacers as goodm3 has done but just sizing it up at the moment.

Re: Tach and heat gauge

Depends which model it is. Early production models tachometer does not require SI batteries for operation. Tach/fuel economy and speedometer are inputs to the SI. Temperature gauge on the other hand, is reliant on the SI. Late production models changed this such that tach/fuel economy gauges and tem...

Re: Style 5's sit way too far in wheel well.....

That does look much better. A few questions if I may ?

What size tyres ?
17x8" rims all round right ?
Suspension standard height ?
25mm spacers front and rear ?

Re: Photobucket embed fix

Photobucket recently stopped allowing photos it hosts to be embedded on web sites (like this forum and many others). That's why you see the Photobucket extortion demand come up where informative forum photos used to be. They want you to pay them $400 for the privilege. This tweak gets around that.

Re: 5-speed swap: does it add to car's value?

In Oz, there were only automatic cars imported. Manuals, especially a dogleg, command a premium. That's why I chose a dogleg ;)

Well, that's something at least. I dare say it won't stop him popping up elsewhere. I'd love to see this followed up with legal action.

Re: Ex LOCUTUS the fun and pain begin

Talk about glacial. Progress on this has been slow. My BMW mechanic is doing "mates rates" for me so it takes a back shelf to paying jobs. Still, small steps lately. The Wizard radiator has had surgery to modify the intake/outlets to suit the S38. The bracket to lower the ABS has been made. I comple...

Re: ABS SENSOR / BOSCH PART NUMBER?

Splicing in new cable seemlessly should not be too much of a problem for those with enough motivation to have working reliable ABS, but we need a source for the right cable. Bosch aren't going to help. I've already tried that route and it was a dead end. I have a brand new rear E24 sensor in a box ...

Re: Need help - no heat

Thank you. Yes, I do have both the manual and a multimeter. I will test the motor as described and see what happens...perhaps I did not have a secure enough connection on one or the other terminals on the motor the first time I tried this. I did verify incoming voltage at the two leads that connect...

Re: Need help - no heat

OK so yeah this thread is pretty old, but instead of starting a new one to hash out some of the same stuff I'm necromancing it... I have a scenario similar to combo #4 listed above: A/C blower operates (but only on High), and zero response from the heater blower. I'm trying to save myself from blin...
