I'm sorry you didn't take it there in the first place!
BTW; why didn't you go there first? Convenience?
Good luck & please let us know the outcome?

Re: Early black door panels, decent shape
Gentlemen: Ever since I visited swap meets and garage sales in the seventies & eighties and even today, I have always negotiated the first price mentioned. It's called bartering,, the American way. Kyle, there was never anything personal intended. Don't we all want to come out ahead of the game?...

Kyle
After my last ditch effort, I did find one, so, I'll cancel our deal making for now, as the other should be close.
Thanx very much for the chance to work with you.

Re: Early black door panels, decent shape
Mr. Alpina: First I must say that when someone is negotiating a price, a third party should respectfully BUTT OUT!!! The negotiating should always be between the two parties involved & NO ONE ELSE! :-# Next, to Brian, please work on fixing the PM area? That eliminates party poopers! I ...

Thanx Ken and Dean.
Dean, when I tried it, it came up with, 'Something went wrong please try again'.
I also clicked on 'I am not a robot' to no avail. Five times.

Differential Gearing
I have gone to realoem with my vin which is 5592605. I would like to know the factory gearing for Buster but, I just can't find what I'm looking for. Since I got a front strut brace, I've been sorta hungry to know what I have. I do believe it's an open diff. Maybe one of you gurus can help? Thanx in...

Re: Early black door panels, decent shape
Dude; if I had one to take a picture of I would only need one! I need two. Like I said, they are just behind your
door speakers. Look at the indents and you'll see how big they are. They're flat and round.

Brian & Bobbo, thanx for working on this. And, I apologize. I know I'm rather simplistic but, we use to have a PM box under each post. That was my kinda deal. :-" That meant that the person was gonna receive my PM. When I go to 'Private Messages', I have two from 2016 and three from '12 &am...

Yup. That's the other way to put it. But, they're caps, not plugs. They snap in place.
They're just aft of the speakers.

Re: Beemer Buddy in the Low Lands
Welcome, welcome! You'll find this forum to be knowledgeable & fun. :D I sold my '73 roundie last year, too. I bought Buster, my six , thinking I'm older & can enter & exit a six a lot easier. HA! But, I don't have to get as low to the ground so, I guess that helps. I still have to...

Do you have the caps that cover the manual window mechanisms?
They are round & about 2 1/2" across.

Re: Early series one front strut brace fitting. No 2
Maybe you can find one from a parts car here? No one seems to ask for that part. When you do find one, here's an install tip: You can slide it on open side down & spin it around & bolt it on. But, I think it would be a two man job? The way your hood opens you may not need to lose the struts ...

Re: Early series one front strut brace fitting. No 2
If you put your head/camera closer to the height of where the bar will be, wouldn't it clear the reservoir? The picture Olympia gives us is an angle that doesn't show the separation in height well enough. And, in the picture of the bar, you can see that the bar itself sits on top of it's own mounts,...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?
Installed my new to me used BMP aluminum front strut brace that I found on 'FirstFives'. I had to enlarge the holes to fit My Buster, but things came together. You know Buster is a Series 1. First thing I learned was that I had to take the bar off to access the inside threads: then, I had to add the...

Re: My Series 1 Front Strut Brace
WOW! On the way to San Sai not San Sui; forgive me. Anyway, I hit two of my fav ramps. One an 'S' on ramp and The other a 90 degree on ramp. And hell yeah! The difference is noticeable! =D> Not because I want there to be a difference, I'm way past wanting but, Buster is a lot tighter!! I hit the 'S'...

Re: My Series 1 Front Strut Brace
I went back to the hardware store and was assured the nuts are stainless steel. OK. It took me about an hour to do a twenty minute job. Trial & error, trial & error! :-? And, taking my time! I had to take one end of the bar off, then of course, the other end to get to the center most threads...
