Re: CC Auctions: 1985 BMW M635 CSi, Schwarz

£100k? Mmmmmhh. Clearly the mileage is exceptional, but even so I simply don't get how this car sat in the classifieds through much of last year at £45k, yet miraculously hits this astonishing figure now. And let's not overlook the fact that a 635i Auto hit £32k (inc. premium and tax admittedly) at ...

Re: Warning triangle

Hi Mark. As you probably know the warning triangles specific to the M635CSi are designed to fit neatly in the space on top of the battery in the boot. So if you want to be really authentic, you will need the right one. I have sourced some of these, and other obscure bits for my M635 by keeping a fre...

Re: World's Most Expensive M635

That looks to be a very nice car indeed, and I am no expert on southern hemisphere market prices, but this is an absurd "valuation". Utterly bonkers. Surely any prospective M635 owner considering spending this amount of money (on a not particularly low mileage car) will want the very best ...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Took my M635CSi out for it's first real drive in several months, as the weather in suburban London is dry, bright and mild today. A gentle drive out towards the country to check everything over became a very thorough workout on some empty sweeping A roads and a return motorway blast. These cars real...

Re: 86 Euro M635Csi Restore or sell?

No sure what figures you have in mind or how exactly you'll come to market, but I would suggest selling as is, and keep your retirement money in your pocket. The less you "invest" in your car, the cheaper it can be. Thus more people will be able to afford it, the more interest you'll get a...

Re: CC Auctions: 1985 BMW M635 CSi, Schwarz

This was up for sale at £45k with a dealer (Oxford area, if I recall correctly) for a long time last year and it didn't sell. The same photos were used on the adverts. I think it was described then as having spent most of its life as part of an indoor collection, up on axle stands. If it finds a new...

To be honest, I don't like white and I only really have eyes for the "M"version, but I have to say that looks to be one bloody nice E24.

No.

The £33,995 car also available from Prindiville is the Zinnobar red, #311, C801XLM.

The car in question here is he Polaris silver "Jersey" car - No.065 - C860MWJ.
£45,000 on ebay/Le Riche.
Or £57,950 from Prindiville.

Winsdcreen Washer Failure

Thanks to some leaky nipples on the underneath of the main windscreen washer fluid reservoir, I was forced to replace the whole bottle on my Euro '85 M635CSi. Whilst I was at it, I cleaned up the grime-covered pumps mounted underneath. I judiciously made a rough sketch of the wiring and hose connect...

Fantastic photos, Renaud, and thank you for sharing.
It is not likely that a local BMW dealer will be working on McLaren F1 GTR! And was that another E24 M635 on the ramp behind you?

What work is BMW Classic doing to your car? How long will it take?
I will ask you how much it costs another time.

Re: Which Wheels ?? BBS RS or RC090

I found myself in exactly the same dilemma. RS or RC's. Tore myself to bits over it for months, and ended up buying a set of each.

Which is the right choice? Well put it this way, my RC's have NEVER been on my car.

I thought I recognised this car, but couldn't place it for a day or two until just now, when the penny finally dropped. This is Helga, the car once owned by British motoring writer and journalist Jeremy Walton, and she features heavily in his book "BMW 6 Series Enthusiast's Companion". Any...

Re: Duxford Spring Car Show - 30th April 2017

There are about 300 spaces allocated this year for the BMWCC alone. It's being organised by the East Anglia regional chair, who has invited members to put their names forward as prospective attendees. I'd guess there were about 4 or 5 E24s there in 2014, about a dozen in 2015 and half that last year...

Is the owner on here, or do you chaps in the 'states know of him?

The spare can was an option, never standard. They were available in 6 or 9 litre capacity.
That one currently on eBay has been there for ages now, not surprising really as its about twice as expensive as it ought to be.
