GRNSHRK- I've made a pretty good effort over the years to maintain at least honourary status as "Riff-raff". Polite riff-raff, maybe even genteel riff-raff but definitely and hopefully always at least a bit "iffy".

This car is currently featured in the January issue of Performance BMW . The owner/builder describes his project and reasoning. The car is a bit extreme but that was the goal. Lots of pictures. I particularly like the rear of the car. Wow! It's wonderful to see someone working in metal to create som...

Beautiful. Very constructive application of OCD. My white '85 has a black interior and I've noticed some that are beige/brown that does nothing for me. How rare is this white (or near-white) interior? When was it available, etc. I'm getting a serious case of the gotta-have-it bug. I can't believe ho...

Looks great. The intense black masks the age of the car. How many hours (or days) to get it that clean?

Enjoy,

They look a lot better than I would have expected. The car looks less sporty but has a classy luxury coupe appearance. Nice. And a good deal makes them even nicer. Well done.

Saggy Butt

Are BMW springs prone to sag over time? My '85 looks a bit droopy in the "outback".

Thanks,

Am looking at MAP sensor for best tune and versatility. Initial search, although not extensive, indicates the use of many $$$$$$$$$$$$. A cheap solution using generic(ish) GM sourced parts would be HIGHLY interesting. Please document well and keep us all posted. P.S. what would we in N.A. call a &qu...

Vancouver doesn't get much snow being on the Pacific coast - they get rain, and lots of it. You can stay in Vancouver and get to great skiing within an hour or so. They just finished hosting the winter olympics. We don't live in igloos or snowshoe to work (usually). Think Seattle for weather. I work...

Due to the lack of lubricating properties in propane synthetic oil should be used. Propane burns very clean and you'll be amazed at how clean your oil stays.

tobes,
It's a pressure issue. A gas (air) under pressure will try to dissolve into the liquid (brake fluid). The amount of air that becomes entrained in the brake fluid would seem to me to be more of an issue in the lab rather than the garage - no numbers- just eye-ballin' it.
