A person or shop that works with stained glass windows could give you a bit of self-adhesive copper tape. Cut to fit, solder onto copper. Q.E.D.

You may have noticed that almost any company with "professional management" will rather pay for perpetual expensive work-arounds that they "understand" ("Don't worry - It's just a work-around") than one moderately priced fix that the don't understand (I might be getting...

Drive by wire throttle systems produce possible problems as properly (and better) described above. I've never driven anything on public roads that didn't have brakes that could stall the engine in an emergency. "Unintended" means"surprising" to me. Inattention or poor training fo...

George, Hugely interested and appreciative of any and all help. My greatest concern with this idea was keeping from spending too much money. I live in what might be called an "estrogen rich environment". If anything went to a vote, shoes would be considered a higher priority... I don't und...

Sixerkid/George, I wish I had the resources ($$$) to go after silly-fun horsepower. After all... "if some is good and more is better then too much is just enough" was my credo for a long time but what I'm after is fat mid-range power around 300-350 hp. Just like my A4 1.8T only more so. Cr...

And where would you get these from? I was thinking of the turbos from the 1.8T because they can be had cheap(ish). Those are replaced by the ko4 for 300+ hp. These are not cheap at all and not available to scavenge from a stock application as far as I know. Sixerkid aka GeorgeK. knows his way around...

Brucey, If you want to make your own headers you could save a LOT of time and money by buying mandrel bent 180 degree sections from any number of local supplies. Undoing someone else's bends would be a nightmare and you'd be paying for a finished product. Start with your flanges ( don't skimp on the...

George, You are correct that my aim would be quick-responding linear power. I was indulging in a bit of mental masterbation.... two 3into1 manifolds, two small turbo's, balancing issues, various intercooler options, MAF or MAP, uniqueness and cost. Those turbo's and their matching cats and relativel...

So does the work of Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy et al) lose much when translated to German (If it can be done at all)?

Was it John Cleese who said that the British say something normal in a funny way and Americans say something funny in a normal way ???

Just stirring the pot,
