Re: My henna 84
Awesome stuff. Making good progress there. I have a few questions: 1) where did you get the Mk60 ABS parts? I have pondered doing the same thing. Are you swapping teeth rings and abs sensors at the hubs? Besides the wiring harness work, what else are you modifying to make this work? I got the ABS u...

Re: My henna 84
Hey there.. So for Father's day I worked on making progress on the car.. Extracted the full engine wire harness.. Marked it all up as a very knowledgeable fellow (Douglas) will be replicating it and making a new one for all the Emtron KV-8, new sensors, electric water pump, and ABS unit.. Speaking o...

Re: M635CSi #367
It may be a big job to remove but you can kill two birds with one stone by Ceramic coating the headers for a vast reduction in ambient temperature in the bay, AND "may" be able to increase torque output by maintaining heat in the headers and keeping gas velocity high (helps clear out the e...

Re: My henna 84
Little update... Yet to do anything on the car lately.. Life is getting in the way (read: no spare time)... BUT.. Did get the MK-60 abs unit. Took off the OEM piece and I need to fabricate all new lines as the Mk-60 unit requires a slight change in mounting height (one of the first reasons I switche...

...but have so much to do with a full Emtron standalone... This is interesting, how did you decide on the Emtron system rather than Haltech or other options? Looking forward to hearing more details on this. I'd like to do a stand alone system as well. Thanks, Eric Eric, I was sold on the Emtron bec...

Re: My new lightweight HP Starter
Checking to see how you have been liking the new starter over the past few months and also to ask where you got it from? I didn't see any US distributor. Thanks, Eric Eric, No US distributor.. I have fitted it but have so much to do with a full Emtron standalone and probably a rebuild that I wont b...

The forum is not meant to trash people. If you had/have a problem with Jay, it should have been handled between you off the forum. Trashing a well respected member in public is absolutely uncalled for. Jay has been around for a good amount of time as both a member and a provider. In the 10 years or...

Re: Fully refurbished and upgraded Calsonic Compressor
Dear All, Jay, who was going to grind the housing of the A/C compressor to make the rotor spin, wasn't allowed by me to do so. When you take too much off the housing by mechanical grinding you will loose pressure and create bleed between the low and the high side. It is in a machine shop right now w...

Fully refurbished and upgraded Calsonic Compressor
Hi All, As some of you may have seen on my project pages I had my OEM compressor rebuilt including also upgrading the main bearing to ceramic bearing at a cost of $50 above the cost of the bearing. I also completely WPC'd the internals for far less friction and better sealing between all the interfe...

Thank you for the offer Al!
I could remove mine which would be exactly what I need... If you had a Euro I would consider spending the money.

Welcome to the forum!
One question: what tires and wheel width are you running in the front? No rubbing? I run 235's and they are very tight to the strut... maybe the offset?

Thanks! Your 84 Henna is quite an inspiration - if mine looks anywhere near as good I'll be very pleased. Thank you! but not all is what is seems.... But I am working on the mechanicals and the goal is to update everything so that it performs like its a more modern car.. If your 635 ends up looking...

Re: My henna 84

Re: My henna 84
You can easily buy things twice. I do that with project car parts and tools. Buy/bring home stuff, put it away "for safe keeping", then never see them again until years later when I've bought them a second (or third) time. Oh Yeah... been there.. I'm trying to be vigilant with ever...

Just got done with my new blanking plate! Took a new water pump and emptied it out. I will plug my Davies Craig electric water pump straight into the inlet. Have any more pictures with the BBS RK wheels? I just picked up a set! IMG_3737.JPG Best shot I have for now...This was a few years back.. The RK's are great wheels and lite, but watch for cracks where the spokes connect to the barrels. They can fatigue over time. I've had this issue with two sets....
