Re: Carlex Design 635-CLX…

130000€ for a 635CSiA 😳 It looks wonderful, but I think they may have missed the boat and should have got into this when there were many more nearly new E24s around and consequently more potential owners. How many of us would want to buy a classic car such as this, with all the changes made? IMO, or...

UK M635CSi 1987 s2 for sale

On eBay offered by leistung_auto, a very knowledgeable car dealer who states it puts out 210bhp 😂. Would appear to be Shadowline with 131,224 miles, so not particularly high, although I wonder if the timing gear has been changed? Asking £70k which I reckon is rather rich? I couldn’t find the VIN or ...

Apparently it was sold for £38,750. IMO a pretty good deal for the buyer. But, wow! Hasn’t it dropped since it was sold last time 😳

Re: Koenig for sale again.

Just sold at auction https://carsonline.bonhams.com/en/listings/bmw/635csi-koenig/babcdc15-feeb-4cab-a048-ac38e533ac7d Total £17,690 including premium  Car was unavailable for inspection and the auctioneer's description was lacking, IMO. No mention of the knackered rear tyres (pictures) which...

I agree with Bert. These fixings only need to be tightened as far as to stop any leaks. The rocker box covers are simply covers and nothing more!

It also allowed me to cut 10mm off the driver's side seat mounts to allow me enough room to fit without having to "drive ghetto" or stick my head in the sunroof aperture! Well, Rob, we’ve never met in person, but from what you say, I’d imagine you must be very tall! Wouldn’t it have been ...

Re: Rusty sills (rockers)

Don is absolutely correct. A ‘rotten’ job. I think it’s a good idea to remove all the carpets, trims and scrape off the underseal so you can see exactly what needs doing. From my experience, you’ll find bad rot at the rear ends, running into the wheel arches, fronts (and probably front floors) and a...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Okay, spoke with Avenue Garage. They indeed wrapped it in foil and put it in a 200F oven for 10 minutes. They say they've done this many times for a number of years and have had no issues or come-backs. As Tim noted the location would not warrant underhood temperature-capable components, so it woul...

Re: UK M635CSi #500 fs on eBay

Went back up on eBay by ‘Bonhamcarsonline’ asking £30k. Auction was cancelled yesterday as ‘no longer available’, so I guess someone must have forked out somewhat less than that amount for it. Waiting to see how long before it resurfaces ………

Interesting, but why offer it for sale with the MOT expiring in less than two months? For such an important and potentially valuable car, I would expect a full MOT!

Re: FS UK RHD M635CSi #332

Interesting. I've just put on my anorak and can report that the car was tested on 1st April @ 113,470 miles. It now is showing 114,107 miles. So either Barney sold it for less than £70k, or the new owner didn't feel able to keep it and sold it off pretty damn' quick! -and probably for a fair bit les...

Just saw my first E24 in years. Silver 628 on the main drag through Arnage @ Classic Le Mans. If it drives back, I’ll take a snap.

Anybody going to the Classic this year? I’m booked and hoping to take one of the AVA Turbos (if I can get it through the MOT 😉)
