Aside from having new hoses made, a Sanden or Seltec compressor will bolt up to the main bracket on the engine. What you will have to make, as you will not find them, are the adjustment brackets which are simply a metal strap with a slot cut into it made of 3/16 or 1/4 inch X 1" steel.

Bobbo, you might have missed on this one. The car should be Motronic with an 002 ECU unless screwed with on Federalization. I don't know wherev Dantana is located, but my car has no 02 or cats and has always passed AZ smog and does show on my title that it was fedded. So, before going further, we sh...

After having done a fair amount of rust restoration on my 81, I have to agree with Phillip. leave your check book at home until you are able to go over the car, top and bottom, poking into blind
corners with an ice pick. You have no idea where that fickle bitch rust, finds to hide on these cars.

Ther is a difference in the quarter panels in the rear. The spacing from the wheel arch opening, at the bottom, to the bulkhead in front of it, is different by about 1/2-3/4 inch. I repaired the arches on my e12 car by sectioning in a pair cut from an e28 car, and had to do some reforming at the bot...

I am on the tail end of a 4 year ground up restoration of an 81 euro. If the body is for sure not rusted, grab it. If not a steal, it's a very good buy. Needless to say, I am partial to these cars!

Hmmm. Realoem calls them a covering plate. I see no mention of inner mud gaurd. Maybe out nomenclature in the colonie is different than yours. Mine are also made of steel.

To seal the opening. I am not debating weather they are guards or not, just that they are access panels and not liners. If they didn't have seals, the water would go crazy in that location. Who cares about nomenclature?? The question is what are they there for?

After restoring my car, I have to disagree with the statement of these being mudguards. They are access panels and serve no other purpose than that. On the early cars, that is how you access the power antenna on the left side of the car. These are not fender liners

Don't forget the line from the clutch master to the slave. They are well known to go bad.

It has a "plunger" in it with a rubber seal. If the inside of the bore was not honed during rebuild, it will eat the seal up again. My experience has been most master cylinders and slave cylinders are better off replaced than rebuilt.

Sounds like the clutch slave cylinder is going bad. There is also a combination hard and soft line that goes from the master to the slave cylinder that can go bad.

I am using a Seltec pump. Ran me $175 new, and pretty much bolted in. I did have to make up some slotted adjustment brackets and have both lines redone, but that wasn't any big deal or cost. A new receiver drier should be used too.

25mm hub centrics doesn't sound right. Could you mean 25mm spacers with the hubcentric as part of it?/ 25mm is a big spacer and shouldn't be needed unless you are running large cross section tires or to little offset
