Golly, its such a convenient jacking point (I use a rectangular piece of wood in there). I think I'm just going to cut the rust, clean it up, treat the underlying metal and reinforce it.

Congrats on the acquisition. New Mexico is emissions friendly, just saying. Even in Abq, over 35 years old is the golden number for emissions exempt. Check to see what year your cylinder head is, the one I just replaced was a 79' and it was cracked.

Update: I had to apply some anaerobic sealant to this low pressure junction. It's been working great for about 3 months.
