THANK YOU, BAT 1!!!! Exactly what i needed to know. You said you got it from Norm's post on relays....where? I search the Big Coupe forum and found nothing but the link I posted, which led to some of Norm's work, which had been lost to the ether.

You should definitely have seen a rubber hose about 3/16" diameter connected to the back of the interior temperature sensor mounted behind the lower panel under the dash. It also has a set of wires connected to it through a keyed plug (only connects one way). Shortly up the rubber hose from the...

Greg, that "metal vs. plastic" thing is about hubcentric rings, not spacers. The hubcentric rings are to center E39 wheels (usually...or any wheel that has a bore bigger than 72.56mm) but they don't move the wheel out from the hub. Hubcentric spacers actually move the wheel out, and have a...

If they're made correctly and the lugs are good quality and torqued correctly, they're as safe as a wheel without a spacer. I've run them thousands of miles and never had them so much as get loose.

I'd start pulling fuses and see what circuit is conducting the voltage with the key off, then follow that via a wiring chart. If it never goes off with the fuses pulled, then start looking at the dash wiring.

I'd love to see the Eagles live, but they're a bit too pricey for me. Same with Blue Man Group, although they're a fraction of what the Eagles get for the stage-front tickets.

20-25 is the normal offset. To get those wheels to work you'll need a set of 15mm hubcentric spacers and matching lug bolts. That will put the total offset at 20 et (adding spacers REDUCES offset) and you should have no trouble with interference.

Sending money as a gift USED to work to keep the seller from getting dinged for a transfer fee. No longer. ONE of the two in a transaction is going to have to pay. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the seller asking you to "gift" it to him. It did not mean it was a scam, but Paypal c...

Relay cross reference/current part numbers

I searched, and found this: http://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7421&highlight=relay+cross+reference However, the picture Chris posted is gone (like many after the server crash) and the URL to the Norm Grills reference library is a dead link, including the cached copy. :( The relays in my...

Same thing I was thinking. The coolant level sensor is cheap, like $20-$25. The washer fluid level sensor is pretty pricey at ~$50+. Since the coolant level is far more important than the washer fluid level, I got a new coolant level sensor, but left the washer level sensor jumpered just to get rid ...

The hose connected to the interior temperature sensor is a vacuum hose, connected under the intake manifold. It has an internal restrictor that is usually lost by this time when the hose fails and someone subs in a new piece of hose. The restrictor is there to keep the hose from being a large-ish va...

Some use a pressure bleeder that attaches to the reservoir and shoves the fluid through the line down to the slave. I use a vacuum bleeder that attaches to the slave cylinder bleed screw and pulls the fluid (and air) through the line and out. You could enlist a friend to pump the pedal manually. I w...

The clutch is hydraulic, and operates from the same fluid reservoir as the brakes. Check your brake fluid level. The clutch system feeds from higher on the reservoir than the brake system, so the clutch will run dry before the brakes. If your fluid is ok, it'll probably be that the slave cylinder ha...

Simple test for each: put a jumper across the contacts at the sensor. Both lights should go out. If they stay on, it's a wiring fault. If they go out, it's a sensor fault.
