Yeah, there's an awful lot of performers who are not nice people. Generally you find that the more "macho" males are within a cultural environment, the less respect they actually end up having for women. Slapping a woman because you think she is annoying is absolutely unacceptable. Believi...

I know what I know plip. Torque values made a difference in my case, and the problem/solution was/is repeatable.
The only thing I haven't done yet is replace the front hubs.

Re: Front end shake at 45mph E24 M6
Wacky as it sounds, wheel nut torque affects wobble on an M6. I tightened to 95 ft/lb once because that is what my local wheel shop said their book showed. Research revealed that original torque was rated at 75 ft/lb, then later upgraded to 85 ft/lb, and now shown (in BMW references) as 95 ft/lb. I ...

A similar condition red example sold at a U.S. auction for a high of $105K. Pristine examples are fetching high premiums now.
My daily driver is nowhere near that value, but seeing them sell at high prices makes me happy. It shows the world is recognizing their value as well.

Stability with that battery is fine. Definitely heavy if you tip it over, but still very nimble and stable at speed, and I am running wide bars. When selecting the suspension upgrades, I was careful to maintain the 64 degree head angle it was built for. Also, I weigh 250 lb, so the higher battery lo...

Re: M6 front brake caliper
Another trick I have heard of people trying is to plug the brake line holes, and replace the bleed screw with a grease nipple (same threads apparently). Then you use a grease gun on the fitting and pop out the pistons with the hydraulic pressure. As to your first question, splitting calipers is alwa...

Re: President Donald J Trump makes history...
I agree it's very significant that his happened twice in his term. A second notable fact is that in the few impeachments that have happened in our history, in this second impeachment he has the most members of his own party voting to do so. That's a pretty big justification that impeachment really i...

Re: Talk women (or men), politics, gripe about your 6er (or other ride), and speak your mind.
Supporting Bobbo, and adding some thoughts of my own, I think the key issue here is that conversations about politics, especially in this current age are commonly aggressive, hostile, divisive, disrespectful, and even threatening. VERY few people can actually focus an argument on logic, legal preced...

Does it have to be an oem muffler? If not, you could use something like a Flowmaster 50 series muffler with a 2-1 adapter. You can order that in real 304 stainless, that should last a very long time.

Re: Replacement battery pack for cordless power tool
Hey Bobbo, Yes, it will be most efficient to just buy a new tool. However ...... with no BMS and just being welded together, those look like basic NiCD cells. You can buy them cheap with metal tabs already on them. Then you just solder them and wrap with some heat shrink, or Kapton tape. I say that ...

I do it every couple years. I also have a pressure bleeder, which makes it WAY less painful. Suck the reservoir dry, and refill takes about an hour.
I do have a mid-rise lift though.

I bought Mobil equivalent. Works great. I think synthetic is not a big improvement for that. Base oil stock for those transmission oils is super high quality, so I think synthetic just doesn't make a difference.

Re: What can I do to "clean up" the rust on my rotors :(
Hey Bobbo, Flap wheels actually remove material, while wire wheels knock off surface stuff with less reduction of the substrate. I would stick with wire wheel cleanup. I used VHT caliper/disk paint, and the the hats on my rotors still look glossy and black years later. I even painted the rear drums ...

Re: Alternative to Miller Performance for a high performance MAF
My thing is that when you go standalone, you do get more flexibility, but now you are building a tune from scratch, re-wiring the entire harness, and opening a completely new can of worms. In our cars, it is not uncommon for someone to already have put in a tuner chip. In my case, a Conforti. I am h...

Re: Alternative to Miller Performance for a high performance MAF
Definitely looking forward to what you decide. I am so high on the idea of getting that MAF conversion. M6's run super fat by nature, so it would be interesting to see if this conversion would help even out things across the board.
